It was indeed. Overalls were one of his trademarks back then. Poor Adam, but doubtless he thought it was a compliment.
I just got the Model Prisoner CD for Christmas and I'm curious to know, what are some of your favorite songs from that album?
I really love some of the softer songs, like Every Time Around, Cellophane Sun, and The One That Got Away. But I like almost all of them quite a bit.

Cellophane Sun and The One that Got Away. And Just Here to the Left of You, to a lesser extent. Cellophane Sun reminds me of driving in the summer with the song on, the windows down, and the heat coming in.
Hearing Model Prisoner (the song) and Liken a Razor live ruined the recorded versions for me (and I mean that in a totally complimentary manner). Same goes for a lot of his songs, really.
I love the whole CD, but Cellophane Sun and Model Prisoner were always the standouts for me.

I love Cellophane Sun and The One That Got Away. Sort of optimistic and soothing at the same time
I'm completely with you, Lexi. In the best way possible, Model Prisoner and Liken a Razor are much better live.
I listened to the whole CD last night and I really liked Cellophane Sun and Just Here To The Left Of You, but I also really like Undiscovered.
The Forum Theatre just called and said "There's been a slight mix up with your ticket order". I figured that with my luck lately something had gone wrong, but thankfully it was just that they wanted to confirm the right date.

I got the same phone call. Apparently, the date is definitely February 9th.
This is kind of random (oh my God I start half of my posts like that) Anyway, my dad just walked into the room and saw my background (it's Adam from the Today Show Rent performance last year) and my dad asked me who he was. I said Adam and he was like "who?". I told him Adam was a singer and he was in Rent and then my dad goes "Oh, was he that guy in School of Rock too?" I nodded my head and my dad said (about the picture) "That must have been taken a long time ago before School of Rock because he looks really young there."
Sounds like your dad's a big SOR fan?
Seeing that short, short hair was kind of a shock after all the pictures from the Rent movie set, but I think he looked fantastic in that Today Show appearance.
(I know, this is from Bryant Park later in the day.)
And speaking of the Rent movie, there's an interesting thread over on the main board asking for people's thoughts about it now. Be sure to check it out.
My dad's not a big SOR fan, but whenever the movie is on TV, or we watch it on DVD I always make a point to point out Adam to the rest of my family members.
I do that too! Except my parents just roll there eyes at me and say "Oh jeez..." Ok...I MUST finish this health project...no more procrastinating!

Awesome. This thread is my new favorite place to find terrifying Adam Pascal headswaps that weren't made by me.
Yes, Nun!Adam by the talented Mandi Moo originated here, but he's pretty much a one-off. Headswapping is not exactly our stock in trade.

Oh, I noticed. No harm in a little encouragement, though. I'm waiting for the pictorial All-Pascal version of Lestat, but I'll probably be waiting longer than the Lestat recording hopefuls will.
