The Tree of Life

Jun 7, 2011 — 10:06:11 AM

I thought Brad Pitt was phenomenal. I liked the exploration of time passing on a cellular level, a global level, and a personal level. I think it was well done, but not my favorite movie. Definitely worth seeing on the big screen because some of the visuals are really beautiful.

James Cameron's 'Titanic' to get 3D release on April 6, 2012.

May 19, 2011 — 2:02:55 PM

Best, I would love to see the expanded release as well. I waited 10 years for the bonus footage that appears on the special edition DVD set, including cut scenes and behind-the-scenes footage. It would be great if this had been shot in 3D, but I'll see it anyway, even if it's just for that one long pan of the entire ship after it sets sail. Gives me chills every time

How To Not Be Creepy At Stage Door

Plus, people have no common sense. If an actor looks tired, isnt made up or is wrung out have decency and don't ask them for a photo. Most people are so self serving and oblivious to anyone else's needs. Exactly. I think respect breeds respect in most cases. Yes, there will always be crazy, creepy fans who just don't take no for an answer. And no, there is no small print on the bottom of your ticket entitling you to a personal meet n greet after the show. But honestly, if meeting a few people...

"And if their job ends when the curtain goes down, so does mine. Don't expect fans follow your career and buy solo CDs and concert tickets if you can't be bothered to give them a half-assed Sharpie scrawl on a playbill and a fake smile as they fawn over you with praise. " I agree.

Reidel: 'RENT' to be revived off-B'way next June

Nov 7, 2010 — 9:39:30 AM

People can get the same experience with a spaghetti dinner for $30 back in Peoria. $20 with a valid student ID and eggplant parm at the Westchester Broadway theater, lol. And that is only 30 minutes from NYC!

Liza Minnelli losing her mind..

Oct 27, 2010 — 10:50:01 PM

I love that shot in the music video of the iron burning the shirt and then the camera panning to her and her expression of disbelief, lol. Honestly, she could sing anything, and the song IS catchy.

rent revival?

Oct 12, 2010 — 11:21:59 AM

If so, it means that the production team paid very special attention to the Rent fanfics.

Broadway bloopers

Toward the end of Music and the Mirror, she kind of tumbled to the stage, and did a kind of roll to recover. rofl

LEAP OF FAITH Reviews

Oct 5, 2010 — 11:35:40 AM

That's disappointing. I also don't understand how, from her perspective, she would WANT to try and do a challenging musical if she's not that strong vocally. Wouldn't it be, I don't know, embarrassing?

Esparza plays Jonas as a fast-talking, Al Pacino-styled larcenist in a slick black suit. As frauds go, he’s a pretty transparent one. But his sexy swagger gives him a decided advantage and, anyway, conversion is a fairly rapid phenomenon in these parts. lol, I think this sounds about right. I'm disappointed about the so-so music that I keep hearing about. I was hoping for blow-the-roof-off gospel headed by Raul. Maybe they will make some musical adjustments?

Thanks to everyone who posted reviews. From the video clips posted on this website, it's hard to get a good sense of the show. For some reason, I expected the songs to be a little catchier - but I might just be in the wrong frame of mind. Interested to see how this evolves.

See, now if I were independently wealthy, I would fly to LA to see this. Oh well. Excited for the Broadway show, tho!

re: RENT Filmed LIVE on Broadway! -- Released TODAY

Mar 5, 2009 — 12:18:50 PM

He does. He's very cute, but his voice always seems jarring, I'm not sure why. I have Rent, but haven't watched it yet. I'm trying to figure out the right time, and seeing as I'm already emotional, I feel I should wait, heh.

re: 'Liza's At The Palace' REVIEWS

I'm seeing the show tomorrow, for what was supposed to be her LAST performance! To those who have seen the show -- do you remember approximately how long it ran?

The Temperature is Rising

But there's some question about the credibility of this doctor, which is why a second opinion has been ordered. "Who, me?" heh My cousin's mercury level is so high that she's registered with the state. She still works 15 hour days at ABC news, so clearly there's a difference between having "high mercury levels" and "mercury poisoning" or whatever he has.
