a theater by me is also doing AIDA. Not sure if you guys heard of it but it takes some touring shows and they put on fabulous productions..Gateway Playhouse on Long Island

I was also thinking about going to that one, but my friend and I looked into it and decided that it would cost far too much and be a REALLY long trip (other than if the cirumstances were extenuating in a good way and we HAD to go). It would end up costing us more to travel from NYC to Gateway than it would to buy a ticket for the show.

Yeah...there's a theatre somewhat near here that's doing Aida in a month or so. I'm torn. I want to see it cause I love it...but I refuse to see it destroyed. Looking on their site at some other productions, I'm not sure if I trust them.

Gateway is about a 1/2 hour drive away from me. I took acting classes there over the summer. Their shows a REALLY good, they are pretty close to broadway. I saw Forbidden Broadway and Fosse this year and they were excellent.
