In the field outside my building. There's this area that's almost always in shadows regardless of what time of day it is because of the angle of the building/sunlight, so the snow from last week still hasn't melted yet. But the rest of the field is muddy brown grass.

It's spring temperatures and sunny outside! In January. And I'm in the mountains in Virginia, not really far south. I think I've finally bought into the "global warming is screwing up climate cycles" thing.
Yeah, this year really hasn't been that bad. The winter my freshman year was hellish. It snowed from October-April and it never fully melted, so there was always snow on the ground. It was like an initiation into Syracuse.
