I used to LOVE snow days ... until I started having to actually shovel the snow. It's just raining and blah here. I have no motivation to do anything.
We never get snow days in NYC. It's boring.
We once had school when every other district in the state of New Jersey was off due to heavy snow and ice. I think the Board of Dread (Ed) in my town is full of idiots.
Even if it snows in NYC, they rarely close the public schools - sometimes they'll delay the start of the school day by 2 hours, but even that isn't something that happens often. I think I can probably count on one hand the number of snow days I had from kindergarten all the way through 12th grade.
I've had a lot of snow days in my time. My university doesn't shut down though, just the majority of the busses, which means I have to walk.
I did once get stuck in a blizzard in Kentucky. That was not fun, I had to stay overnight in a highschool gymnasium.

The best part about living in a state that sees snow pretty rarely: if it barely starts to snow, we're pretty much guaranteed a day off!
We didn't get a lot...but every other year or so, we'd at least get a delayed start, or a day off. My senior year we got 3 days off from a random blizzard!
The school district I teach in is full of farmland, cows, and back roads so they sometimes get a day just because it's dangerous to drive. However, the school district I live in seems to cancel just with the threat of bad weather. We more often get out for ice than snow just because of where we are located.
But just think - in 4 months it will almost be summer vacation. :)
I apparently live on a drumlin, according to my geography minor roommate. It's got a lot of hills, and we get a lot of snow and ice.
I can't believe I know what a drumlin is. I also can't believe we're 1/5 of the way to a part 6 thread.

i'm on long island..they close our schools a lot. I can't wait for vacation in 4 months! I'm so excited. I'll be glued to this machine, thats sad. LOL, I'll attempt at making a tan again and going to bryant park more often.
It's raining.
I need to file my nail.
I like snow, just not when it messes with school--unless I want it to.
The worst part is the majority of this thread hasn't even been about Adam.
it's been raining on and off all day.. it's cloudy so its dark out.. it's making me sleepy.

I grew up in Maine and learned to hate snow and cold weather. Now I'm at university in Quebec. Brilliant move on my part.
Off the always-exciting topic of weather...Wow, you guys talk a lot! I've taken a look at Rentsecrets - all I can say is, people are crazy.
The pot/kettle/spork gave me a good laugh. Think the dish and the spoon want in, too?
And I had to find out what the hell is up with Nun Adam *dies laughing*...you guys are brilliant. Freaking insane, but brilliant!
Well, it's not our fault Adam hasn't done anything interesting in the past 2 days that's worth discussion
*laughs ass off at rentsecrets* Still.
I am so easily amused.
Maybe I'll check MySpace and see if he posted again. heh.

Maybe with some capital letters and good spelling this time!

Your right Skittles. He should at least do something everyday so we can talk about him.
Zyla, yay Canada!!! I've never been to Quebec though. I want to though, I've wanted to meet Bonhomme since I was 9.
Beauuutiful. God, he really does look like he's wearing lipstick and mascara, though.
