yeah..I really should invest. But so far I've been good with repeats.

Psss. Like I could afford those. I'll have to make do with reruns.
I don't think that I've ever seen an episode of Sex in the City.
I think I have the first 3 seasons of Friends on DVD, as well as the series finale.
I never got into Sex & The City because for most of its run, the only TV in my house that had HBO was in my parents' bedroom, and even if my mom would have let me watch it I would have felt really awkward watching it with her.
I want SATC on DVD, but I don't watch Friends anymore. I've just seen all the episodes too many times, so it's not really that funny anymore.
Friends is the only show that I can watch over and over and still laugh at.
the ones they play on the WB and TBS really don't show that much so it's not akward to watch with your mom. Not that I really care, my moms like a child anyways..but I never had HBO so I only got into it once it was over.
I watched SATC towards the end, like the last 2 or 3 seasons - so I recently started renting the DVDs. Except, I haven't been able to find all the seasons, so I've been moreorless skipping around.
wow I just put in taboo, I haven't listened to this in awhile *is in love*
I didn't like how SATC put so few episodes on a DVD. When I tried to rent them I was spending a lot of money getting through it so I gave up. I've seen a lot of the TBS ones but they're not as funny. I think a lot of the "humor" in the show was just the basic shock factor of what they'd show and say!
Off to the library ... go figure. When I really wanted to read "My Friend Leonard" I was 100th on the waiting list. Now it's my turn and I am not really in the mood to read the next fictionalized story. But I will read it anyway because if I read 6 books this month the library will give me a free mug with a moose on it that says "Make Tracks to Your Library!" I'm so easy to please. :)
I'm still sort of obsessing over that Rent Secrets post. I'm not sure why it bothers me so much.
yeah, it bothers me too. It's such a retarded thing to say.
Well, hopefully someone was just trying to make a point about rumors, but the one they created felt too real.
I think it's just someone trying to start something.
Given the nature of the discussion, I think it's a comment on the whole gossip thing. I'm not sure if satirical is exactly the right word, but I laughed when I read it. I think they're trying to say something to the person who thinks rumors are nice (well, you know what I mean). It didn't feel real at all, it's far too ridiculous.
I love it...the number of comments so far this week on the Rentsecrets post is 341, and growing. Last week it was only about 180.
I was on the school's quizbowl team. It was fun!
Me too! It sounds like (er... probably is) the dorkiest thing ever, but it actually is a lot of fun. We had insane people on our team, which made it so much more amusing. It's one of a few things from high school that I look back on and miss. Our coach (also my AP English teacher) was one of the most witty, tough, brilliant people that I've ever met, and unfortunately she has passed away since then.
I agree that the DVD box is... not pretty. (And that's being very kind.) The commentary should be fun, though!
I LOVE Sex and the City. Last year, my friends and I rented and watched every episode over the course of a few months, although I had already seen a lot of them when they were on HBO. I should buy a season, but I can never decide which one is my favorite (2, 3 and 6, maybe?).
for some reason, whenever I watch SATC, I'm always in such a good mood when it finishes.
I love Sex and the City too. And friends.
They play Sex and the City, Friends, Will & Grace, and Just Shoot Me here everynight starting at 11. I watch them all every night.
Right, the "so rumors are okay? Fine" part definitely implies that. But if I had been writing it, I would have made it either more fantastic or more fangirlish. Now I seem to have this image of a real child in my head.

I thought that comment was a great way of basically flipping the bird at the person who was all in favor of analyzing any rumor that may have ever been imagined.
I think I did some sort of quiz bowl thing in junior high school. I also tried out for the high school edition of Jeopardy a few years back and made it past the first round of screening, but nothing ever came of it.

I did this current events quiz thing for a while in junior high. You never realize you're a geek til you go into those tests/meets/whatever you want to call them...It's okay though, cause I loved it.
I'm sure you all are right, sorry to go on and on about it.
Isn't the point of satire to make it seem only a bit past plausible?
I mean, here you have this completely falsified thing about the guy, and by that person's twisted logic, it's okay for the poster to write this and stick it on the internet, even if she just made it up in her head to make a point, and make people laugh. Granted, I don't know if All-in-Favor-of-Rumors person is clever enough to get it, but I think it's hysterical.

I thought the post was an obvious joke. The person prefaced it with that "so if rumors are okay..." comment.
