The Official Adam Pascal Love Thread, part five
#2275Adam Pascal - Thread #5!
Posted: 1/31/06 at 3:41pmThere was a joke about someone saying they didn't want to start posting until they'd read the whole thread - so of course they NEVER started posting. I had dial-up in those days, and loading the page took forever.

Dialup is hell.
I was going to read all of Part Three before I started posting but I gave up. Maybe I'll do it eventually.

Hola!
I don't know if I can truly say this because I haven't been on this thread very long, but welcome, Tracie.
Sorry I missed the book discussion- books are, sadly, my life. My favorite books we had to read for school are: The Great Gatsby," "Catcher in the Rye", and "Fahrenheit 451". Oh, and I love George Orwell.

I
1984. And Animal Farm. A lot of people hate those books.
I read part 4 before I started posting, but not parts 3, 2, and 1. I also read the whole Anthony thread before I started posting. And I have dial-up.
...yes, I'm a freak.

Posted: 1/31/06 at 3:48pmNo exclamation for 1984... that book sucks because of the teacher I had to read it for. And it's the year I was born and all that 'Big brother is watching you' stuff... weeiird. I really hope that's the right book, hmmm.

Posted: 1/31/06 at 3:54pmI actually did the play Animal Farm when I was in high school. I was Napoleon and had to wear a pig snout that smelled like paint fumes. It was awful. I also had to pretend to take a leak on some building plans or something. Yeah, not one of my proudest theater moments.

Yes, that's the right book.
I hated Catcher in the Rye when I first read it because the teacher I was reading it with was horrible. She made us use Post-its, and extremely ridiculous stuff. But then I reread it on my own and loved it.

Posted: 1/31/06 at 3:57pmMy teacher was great... we read 1984, but watched Animal Farm. Something about pig heads on sticks or something... I was confused. It was ninth grade... yeah, that'll be my excuse.

Oh, Lovely Bones...is that the same author as My Sister's Keeper? Don't mind me if I'm completely off....I make weird connections.
KAtt, I read that book really quickly, too. I thought that was just me.
*has read Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix in 10 hours*

Posted: 1/31/06 at 4:02pmI loved Lovely Bones, but it is a really sad book. It's written by Alice Siebold (sp?). My Sister's Keeper is written by Jodi Picoult, who is another author I love. I haven't read that one yet. Is it any good?

Okay, 4? Now that's just creepy.
Of course, I really hated that book, or rather, Harry in that book. CapsLock!Harry is not cool. And when I don't like a book, it takes me longer to read. The Scarlet Letter took me like a month.

I love 1984 and Animal Farm as well.
Tracie, I could swear that I IMed you a few weeks ago complaining about bitchy people on LJ.
I always hope that I'll find Adam news when I check this thread after school, but alas, still nothing since the blog.

Posted: 1/31/06 at 4:04pmI heard the Sister's Keeper is very sad, but a great book. I'll probably read that soon..maybe after Anthony's book

Haha, I've been told that.
And I didn't think the Scarlet Letter was so bad. I guess I'm in the minority.
