I have no idea how to make outgoing calls on my dorm phone. It's very complicated!

Telemarketers scare me. I have had my house # for 2 1/2 years and my cell # for like 4 years. During none of this time have my brother and I lived in the same place. Yet I get calls for him and I get credit card applications for him in the mail. It's weird. And I hate that even though my numbers are on the do not call list I can still get calls from the police and the fire departments asking for donations.

Heh, I hate having to remember to dial 9 for a non-NYU number on my dorm phone.

We've been getting stuff in the mail for my uncle (usually from the college he went to) for as long as I can remember, even though he hasn't lived in the same place as my dad since he was in college.

ok so I'm going back quite a bit...

My first show (not on Broadway because I have never been) was either Annie Get Your Gun or Showboat when I was about 7 or 8 (my parents had season tickets and my dad couldn't go so my mom took me). The first one I really really remember is Phantom of the Opera, 8 row in the center. It is one of my favorite shows still. The first show I really fell in love with was Rent though

Math- I suck at it. In high school I was in advanced math got an A in algebra and geometry, B in Algebra 2, C in pre calc and said screw it to calculus. And I took Stats last semester and was fine until hypothesis testing stuff so I got a C because it was half the class

Dorm phones- Ok, at my school, they just sucked. We could not call or recieve offcampus numbers. So pretty much everyone was forced to ge ta cell phone. And when you lose your cell phone like I did, you are pretty much screwed. It really sucked

Ugh. If RentLuvr were a dog, I would hit her nose with a newspaper.

Piggy was my favorite character in Lord of the Flies. I just wanted to hug him Revisitation

This past week, I kept getting calls on my cell phone where if I answered, there was just silence, then it disconnected. The weird thing was that the call ID only showed the number "716" and nothing else, so I couldn't do anything. I got like 15 calls over the past week and I'm about to contact my cell phone company to see what I should do about it.

I never get calls on my cell phone, so when it rings I get excited. The majority of calls have been Telus telling me their updates.

OMGZ! WHY ISN'T HE RESPONDING TO ME?!?! HE FAVORS HIS FANS! AHHHH.

Actually, we talk about the boards a lot. Revisitation

Her excuse must be that she is so overtaken by her love for such a wonderful, beautiful actor that she can not speak.

I think with that's where the age difference comes in. I was very immature at the beginning of high school. With me being six years older than her, that's a big gap for our ages. That probably explains why I don't hang out with 14 year olds, they kinda drive me crazy.

I won't say I was the most mature creature, but I could spell.

Wanting to sacrifice your viriginity to someone does not make you a fan, it makes you a freak.

You know gavoroche girl? She just turned 13 and she has more maturity in her little finger than some of the people on that thread.

I just found out that Billy Joel is the commencement speaker for the graduating class this year. I am SOOOOO jealous. I was seriously considering if I would be able to take like 30 credits this semester so I would be able to graduate with them, but it's not happening Revisitation

There are definitely exceptions, some girls I don't realize are as young as they are. Others I'm shocked when I find out how old they are. They just seem to be really over-excited, over everything, which then extremely hinders their communicating skills.

The thing is, maturity and age aren't always connected. Even when I was younger, I felt more comfortable talking to my parents' friends than most people my own age, and I'm often shocked to see that some of the teenybopperish people on LJ are actually in their mid-20s.

I feel that I was always pretty mature. I mean, I used to read books under the covers with a flashlight when I was supposed to be asleep for years, starting at the age of four, lol.

To my knowledge, I've never annoyed anyone online with the way I post or spell or whatever, and I've been using the internet since I was nine.

And I wish our high school got exciting speakers. Last year it was the middle school principal, and the year before it was our temporary headmaster, who had only been there a few months and said that since he didn't know the graduating class well, he would just make a short "comment". He ended up rambling on for thirty minutes, and almost everyone fell asleep, no lie.
He tended to do that every time he talked.

Exactly skittles. I don't mind some slight fangirl-ing. It's fun. Revisitation But that's like walking up to him on the street and saying "OMGZzzz take me!!11!"

What is he supposed to say to that?

Skittles - that is AWESOME. Well, at least for the seniors. My speaker was some random graduate from a lot time ago. Snore.

I am frightened by some people around here ... sometimes it's age related but not always (as proved by the normalcy of our thread and the variety of ages). It's not really surprising that performers stay away. Sigh.

Heh, that is so me. My mom always likes to tell the story of how when I was 3, she wanted me to put down the book I was reading and go to bed and I responded by saying "I don't need sleep. I can get all of the energy I need by eating and exercising." Ah, if only I actually could do that...

The best commencement speech I've ever heard was at my brother's middle school graduation. The borough president was the speaker, and he was absolutely hilarious.

Hooray for reading under the covers. When I got caught my mom took away my flashlight. No problem - I just used the dim light provided by my digital clock. Note - green glowing numbers work better than red numbers. :)

My high school graduation speaker was decent...it was a dad of a classmate who also happened to be on the local news. So he was interesting and he talked about different silly things that had happened to us. It probably wasn't as interesting for people in our grade who weren't in our social circle, but to hear stories about our group of friends from little kid-ness on was cute for me. :)

When I graduated from high school, our principal was going to speak and it was her first year at the school. Thankfully the class officers requested that our previous principal, the one we had all known for 3 years and loved, come back and speak in addition to her. And our guest speaker was this guy that had been the Maryland basketball announcer on the radio for decades. It was actually a big deal, and NONE of the dads were complaining, that's for sure.

Mandi, that would be priceless! Revisitation It's just embarassing to even be posting in the same thread as someone like that. I don't to be associated with fans like that.

I read by the nightlight for my little sister when I was younger.

I could easily stay up until 3 AM every night if it weren't for having to wake up too early (even on the days that I don't have 8 AM classes, it's impossible to keep my room dark enough to sleep late).

I think my high school graduation speaker was some local politician who basically treated it as a campaign opportunity.
