....... they make stuff up. A lot.
I feel like... if he was in SUCH a God damned rush to get out there, something must be waiting for him that he's not talking about.
Right, gg, English isn't that girl's long suit.
The only problem is that while on tour, Adam *denied* that he was going to be in NFL Dad. Somehow they turned that into how he was about to start shooting it.
Oh, I didn't know that it was just a rumor. It was on IMDB. Meh, I'm not trusting them anymore...
Oh, I found this:
I don't think it'll do anything, but I signed anyway.
RENT DVD Petition
Yeah...I think that he must have something lined up, if he *had* to leave at 6AM the day after the benefit.

Em, we certainly have to hope so...
Unfortunately, I'm impatient...I wanna know now!
ETA-I saw the petition. I signed it too, but I really don't think it'll help (unfortunately)

I'd love to think something was waiting for him out there, but it seems all too coincidental that he left at 6 AM the day after the benefit. To me, it seems like he just wanted to get the hell out of NY for the sake of getting out as fast as possible, as he no longer had any obligations there.
ETA: Heh, I love how Mandi and I interpret the same thing differently.

That's because we rock, Lexi.
I just think that he would've wanted to stay at the party and such. He could have waited a day, unless he really needed to be out there for something. But, I could be completely wrong.
I know, 6am feels so... extreme. I would really like to think there's something happening, but wouldn't it have been announced by now? Unless it were an audition.
Well, the Rent door has closed, at least for a while, and the New York door has closed, let's hope for only a short time. What other doors are about to open?

It just seems so strange that there would be an audition the day RIGHT after the benefit -- in the early morning, no less.
I hope this thread doesn't turn into us just hoping for any bit of information on him for the next year.
I want to believe that the "he'll be back" is not just comfort, but knowledge. I'm afraid of him getting lost out there, moreso than I'm like "aaaah I miss him." Ultimately, it's about the work.
We can always start harassing Larry again
I was just about to post about the petiton, but guitargeek beat me to it.
I'm also wondering about what Adam's up to. Maybe he did have some big audition right after the benefit... hopefully something that he'd be great in.
It makes sense if someone had wanted to see him last week, and this was the soonest he could make it. The film business waits for no one. When I'm working on a long-term job, I really can't make any plans. There have been times when I've had a couple days notice that I'd be flying to LA or Toronto.
But still he could have just flown out there and come back to make the move. Why did they have to *move* at 6am the day after the benefit?

Is Larry centered in NY?
I could set up a fake MySpace with photos of some buxom blonde, and be all, "Hey Larry, so, what's up with Adam and LA? Kiss kiss."
I have I'm With You on repeat.
He just seems like he was in a damned good rush. I mean, whyyyy?
Hm... very interesting...
The leaving at 6 AM thing doesn't seem that extreme. If they took a flight that early in the morning, they arrived in California with the whole day still ahead of them, and that's a big deal to a lot of people.
I guess that depends on how you feel about getting up early - I hate it myself.
If you think about it the way BG just said it, it kind of makes sense. It doesn't seem like there were many rehearsals, if any, before Monday for the benefit. They had plenty of time to pack, and all they had to do was get to the airport and get on the plane. I'm sure they had people helping them out with getting all their stuff across the country.

There was a rehearsal on Sunday actually.
Also, Adam could be denying NFL Dad because he's not allowed to say anything about it. I mean, most likely not, but who knows.
I'm a little confused about the rehearsals - one person said it was only one day, while another said it was three days.

Gwen told me that they learned only La Vie Boheme the day before, and they learned 90 percent of the choreography on the day of the Benefit. They had a 5 hour rehearsal that day. Updated On: 4/26/06 at 11:53 PM

Chloe, is it common in the film industry for actors to deny their role in a film for some time?
Regarding the rehearsals -- either way, Fantab might be right in saying that their stuff was probably out there, they just flew out there on Tuesday morning. Maybe their stuff was waiting for them in California and they just wanted to get to their new home ASAP.

Probably just depending on schedules (as far as rehearsing goes)
Katt, that's always possible...all that can get so complicated...usually people don't deny the role though, they just decline to talk about it or whatever...
So Ethel Merman is on tv for something...and my roommate is officially scared...her face is the funniest thing I've seen in a while (my roommate, not Merman)
