Sometimes I do. I know that when I wrote my Rent review, that was -- this is so corny -- but I was writing... like, from my heart. I don't think I'm inherently eye-roll reducing, but just like any other token fangirl, I can push the limits, I think. So, yeah, I think sometimes I have to try NOT to do stuff that makes people think that kind of thing about me, because I don't want to be a cliche statistic. I guess I'm afraid that to someone who doesn't know me, without having seen a dissertation on my life, I look like one of those "I cried and Rent changed my life!" girls.... which, yeah. That's all. I haven't had some sort of parallel experience, or anything.

Hey a little fangirling is acceptable.

I think anything said from the heart is open to ridicule and wisecracks. That's why so many people protect themselves with a cynical facade. I'd much rather read something from the heart than flippant inconsequentiality though.

It's okay to fangirl a little bit. Everybody gets excited about something now and then.

Exactly, Chloe. That's why I'm sometimes a bit baffled by the almost-universal reception my writing gets here, because a lot of it is VERY emotional. That's just who I am. I mean, I'll never know who rolls their eyes and who really cares, but it seems almost too good to be true, or something. I guess I don't really percieve that my personality comes through in my writing as much as it probably does.

I guess they aren't doing it over the internet because it's so easy to cheat that way.

Well, if they had done it online, it probably would have required SSNs.

I think your personality comes through really well, Emcee. There probably are a few who roll their eyes, but it doesn't matter. It's their loss if they can't appreciate you!

*sniffles* Does anyone know what kind of "household" tea is best for colds? As in, not crap I actually have to go out and buy? My nose is about the shade of Rudolph's at the moment.

Any kind of hot tea is soothing for the throat. Just avoid caffinated tea, as it will dry you out. Also, whatever people tell you, do NOT put lemon juice in with it, or drink lemon juice. A lot of people suggest this and its downright wrong.

Honey is good though, I think.

Put a teaspoon (or two, heh) of honey in an herbal tea. I find that very soothing.
Hehe, just as I was reading the comment about your nose, the part in "Christmas Bells" that goes, "Rudolph the red-nosed reindeer!" came on.
Coincidence?

I have no honey. Or lemons. I think I may go with peppermint.

Yes, honey. I have vanilla/chamomille tea, which is nice on the throat.
And... maybe it's just that I don't expect people to like my personality that much, Chloe.

I just posted on the Anthony thread, I don't wanna be a bore and post twice, lol. It was awesome though, even though I am a loser and apparently afraid of him, lol.

I have audio, but I'm too lazy to put it up yet, he sang LVB though! I was so excited, because I've never heard anyone sing that solo before
BTW I like your new avatar Em.

Did you know that if you put a drop of blue food coloring into cran-raspberry juice, it makes it look like wine?
No, I'm not tired. Really!

It's not such a big deal that you didn't tell him how much you appreciate him. I'm sure he's heard it a billion times by now and he probably gets that you like him from the fact that you came to his signing in the first place (and the fact that you spend half of your life here
).
