"They're singing, "Happy Birthday"
You just wanna lay down and cry
Not just another birthday, it's 30/90
Why can't you stay 29
Hell, you still feel like you're 22
Turn 30 in 1990
Bang! You're dead, what can you do?"

My friend's mom (of all people) found Rent at a small video rental store, got it, and now a bunch of us are going to her house for an all-night viewing of the movie and all the other features. So I'm excited. Heh.

I feel gross too.
CandL - I forgot they started calling it the "green" now. We always called it the "mall!" During the hurricane all of south central between the dorms had like 6 inches of standing water and the heating pipes are under the grass there - it was like hot springs and mud. We got a blow up baby pool at Kmart and sat in the rain at our own little "spa." Oh, the memories. :)
I want to go see Rent today, too! However, I did manage to talk 6 friends into seeing the tour when it gets to DC in a few months. Woohoo! I'm excited to see the tour because it sounds like there are some really talented people.

Awww, feel better everyone! I feel like crap, too. *checks calendar*

JL, that sounds like so much fun with the baby pool. The craziest thing I did that was on official campus property was a few swims in the Morris Library fountain. Although one night my friends and I were just sitting on the fountain in between Smith and Purnell and the campus police threatened to arrest us. We weren't doing anything wrong, just sitting and talking. Found that a little cheeky, because with UD being the party school that is, you think they'd have more to do than worry some sober kids sitting around on a Saturday night!
I'm thinking I'm gonna hit up the tour when it comes to Wilmington. My mom never had a passing interest in Rent until she saw the film, and now she's insisting on getting tickets.

Ah yes, college fun. I miss being surrounded by people who were my age - work isn't like that. I also miss cheap student productions of different shows. Sure, it wasn't broadway, but most productions I saw were pretty decent. I envy all of you who are still surrounded by college life, even though I do remember it was stressful.

"Cute picture, guitargeek."
"lucky! guitargeek! nice pic"
Thanks.
Sweeney was, in a word, incredible! The stagedoor was fun, too, despite the cold. I got pictures with Patti Lupone and Manoel Felciano as well.

He is so cuuuute. I think I'm going to try to stagedoor since it's such a great cast, so that should be interesting.

I think I'd blabber about how cute he was, and he probably wouldn't appreciate that.

I also love your picture, guitargeek. I have yet to see this production of Sweeney Todd, and it's killing me because it's easily in my top three favorite shows. I was in New York this past Saturday, but alas - no rush that day. I stood outside of the Eugene O'Neill theater for a couple of seconds and sighed. Somewhere, the world's smallest violin was playing up a storm.

Grazi. I think I'm just really tired. I knew when I went to bed I could only get a few hours of sleep, so I was anticipating waking up early I guess, and I woke up like every two hours or so.

I'm going to have a lot of trying not to blab about silly things to do.
Anyway, the last few days I SUCK at joining some of the more serious threads. I've found myself biting my tongue a lot. I guess it's just a learning experience, though.
