Yea, I figured it out. Now, hopefully the screencaps will work.

Ok. I've been too lazy to explain this before, but this is how I screencap on RealPlayer (with a PC):
Tools --> Preferences --> Hardware
Drag the "video card compatibility" bar to the left, choosing "disable optimized video and overlays."
I don't know if it will work with DVD video, but it definitely works when I cap from streaming video.

I've been trying all of the tips in this thread and I still can't get it to work

Hm. I've never tried to cap DVD video, so maybe my method doesn't work for that. Maybe it's due to a difference in our video cards. I don't know.

Damn, Finland is beating Canada in hockey.
The print screen worked for me, but now I'm having problems with paint. It's suuuuchhh a pretty picture.
What kind of Paint problems? A black screen when you try to save, the image randomly shifting to the side, or something else?
*pouts* I've got this great image of Adam in the alternate take of Finale B, and I just can't get it to work.
ooo I hope it works Fantab
The image randomly shifting to the side. And then when I save it and try to upload to photobucket, it uploads as a black screen.
If you're watching it in PowerDVD there's a capping button.
I don't think I have that

You can usually use that program and the Print Screen button. Try that?
At the moment, I'm just having problems with paint. When I paste the picture, only half of it shows up.
Do you have another program? Like...Photoshop? Would that work?
No photoshop
OK, let's see if this works:

Check the canvas size in Paint. I think it defaults to just hte size of the screen. If you re-size it (maybe through the menu bar, maybe by just dragging the bottom right corner) and make it huge, you might be able to paste the whole thing.
i don't see it
Nope, just a black screen.
I give up. I got the screencap, but any time I try to paste it into paint or another program, the picture shifts and we get Adam's eye and thats about it.
*kicks Paint*
Hm...is the screencap a file? Because if it is, then you could upload it to yousendit.com and we could download it (and try)....unless it's just a paused thing in Windows Media Player...

Funniest fanfic ever:
http://community.livejournal.com/rentcastfic/1156.html#cutid1
Excerpt:
“I’ll show you that I can out dance Anthony any day,” he grinned before twirling her around.
Tracie squeaked as her body connected back with Adam’s. Maybe she shouldn’t have made that ‘Anthony can dance better’ comment. Adam started to tango with her and she figured it was best not to fight it. Adam bent Tracie low to the ground and brought her back up quickly. Ok, so maybe he was a good dancer, great in fact.
