Posted: 2/6/06 at 9:48pmI have wavy/curly hair. On good hair days, I love it, but on bad hair days, I look like a giant puff of hair. I only straighten it for special occasions, since I don't have the time or patience to do it on a regular basis.

I had to learn a long time ago to let go of my desire to have controlled hair. It has its own personality...luckily it agrees with me often.
I don't straighten my hair a lot...I do it occasionally just for something different. It takes forever...and it doesn't feel like me. I feel very dull with it straight.
On a random happy opera note: HGO announced its doing Don Giovanni AND Aida next season!

Posted: 2/6/06 at 9:56pmI just stick to blush, lipstick and a little bit of eyeshadow because I'm not really good at putting on makeup. It really pisses my mom off that sometimes I leave the house without any makeup on, but I don't see the point if I'm just going out for a few minutes to pick up my dry cleaning or whatever. Of course, Mom is a former Mary Kay beauty consultant and generally an expert when it comes to makeup, so she thinks I'm doing it just to spite her.

That's funny..my mom's bestfriend used to work with Mary Kay, so my mom would get stuff for free. I have some Mary Kay stuff that my mom gave to me. I can see my mom being the annoying mother who harasses me about getting married.
