To be fair, it's possible he was having a bad day and she truly had a less-than-personable experience with him. However, I think there are a lot more respectful and informative ways of disagreeing than "OH PLEASE."
Well, the example is probably some stage door fluke, which, I'm sorry, doesn't cut it. What's three seconds measure of someone's entire character?
Well, she got hers. *cackles*
It's possible, but no one ever tells that kind of story, at least not that I've seen.
I just want to know if Anthony and Adam were truly bleeped in the commentary!
I've only listened to the commentary on the deleted scenes so far, and there's no cursing (bleeped or otherwise) in those. However, we do get an Adam throat-clearing noise in the commentary for the alternate take of Finale B (as well as his opinion for why the alternate version doesn't work, proving that he's smarter than he looks).
Since I know this is the part everyone's really interested in, the Mark/Roger fight was good. It felt different from the stage version, more quiet in its intensity (the physical element of the fight isn't there, and the "for someone who's been let down..." line was taken out), but it still clearly conveys the hurt that the characters are feeling (the expression on Anthony's face during the "Mark has got his work..." part is truly heartbreaking).

Aww...I can't wait for the DVD!
I just finished both of my history essays I've been putting off for...oh...ever?
I think its time for some chocolate chip pancakes!
i've seen him snap and one fan and then turn around and be really sweet to another. Case in point.

I agree that you can't judge one's character based on one stage door experience, Em, but I'm assuming most of those lists are based on stage door experiences in general (both good and bad). Either way, you were right in what you said.
Jessica, thanks for the update on Adam's throat-clearing noise (and everything else )! Hee.
Edit: Em, why did he snap at someone?

Thanks Jessica
Now we're talking - why do you think he snapped at that person?
Because they were whining and (I think) poking him in the shoulder. They were like "ADAAAAAAAM, sign miiiine!!" And he was like "you'll get your turn!"
It was amusing.
20 bucks says it was AlmostFamous.
ahaha..
Ah. Reacting like a normal human being, in other words. That's one of the things I like about him.
It was at Kean.
i have never been more afraid of being trampled in my life! Oh my God, they were RABID.
I was like "hi, can you sign this kthanksbye!" and got the hell out of there.
Em,if I ever go to meet him, I think I'll go with you, just so I can get anywhere near him.
Yes, the powers of the small include squeezing through crowds.
I was telling Fantab a really funny story the other day.
When we were having our normal person conversation and I was giddy like a freak after the 24 Hour Plays, this girl and her (psychotic!) mother come flailing up to Adam (totally interrupting us, mind you). The girl is quiet, and the mother is like "OH MY GOD ADAM WE DROVE ALL THE WAY FROM CONNECTICUT IN THE RAIN AND IT WAS SO FAR AND WE CAME ALL THE WAY TO SEE YOU MY DAUGHTER IS SUCH A BIG FAN." I backed away, very, very slowly. Adam had this "oh God," look on his face, and I just stood there like "you have fun, buddy." The mother went on, and he was just like "yeah.... thanks..... hi!" I took a picture for the girl, who was nice enough. heh.
My mom did that when I waited to get Mike Mussina's autograph. I was mortified. I think I had blocked that part of the day out til you guys brought up the Adam stories - then the memory hit me full on and I must admit, I'm feeling a little queasy now!
Why do mom's do that? It sounds like they're really big fans too, but dont want to admit it and put it all on their daughters.
Sounds like the Backstreet Boy moms, Chloe.
I hate when my mom asks stupid questions..
My mom has embarassed me, but FAR more subtly than that, thank God!
It's ok, he returned to my attentive stare a few minutes later.
It was like a scene from a bad sitcom. I was a Mike Mega-fan ... my room was wallpapered in pictures I had cut out of the paper (pre internet days!) My mom found out that he was signing autographs at a store nearby so she ran home, got me and a friend, and sped off towards the store. She dropped my friend and me off at the door and went to find a parking space. I had waited for his autograph at other events, and usually there was a huge line. I guess this outing wasn't advertised, because there was no line. We actually thought he had already left. We walked all the way around the store and then my friend noticed that he was set up right by the front door. Since we had just obviously been looking for him, I instantly felt stupid. I picked up a CD from the rack next to me, trying to look non-chalant. My friend says to me, "Um, you know how on TV if this happened the girl would then look down and see that they were holding the book or CD upside down? Look at your hands." Mike laughed at me. Then my mom came in and made this whole production about how I was his biggest fan but I was so shy. But he did sign all 25 of my baseball cards and let me take a picture. :) It's still on my shelf in my living room and it's been like 10 years. :)
that's good Em
cute story JL
Gilmore Girls isn't on here tonight - booooo. It's a new episode but it's being preempted for a stupid basketball game.
Why do mom's do that? It sounds like they're really big fans too, but dont want to admit it and put it all on their daughters.
Heh. Reminds me of when Fantab and I saw RENT a couple of weeks ago and tried to get a picture with Will Chase at the stagedoor, but couldn't get anywhere near him because he was swarmed by little fangirls and their extremely pushy mothers.
