Here Em, a cyber pillow. {***} (<~~~pillow)
I'm sorry about your continuing roomate problems.
But, here because the DVD comes out:
Sorry Emcee!
"Hit back" is sort of unexpected. I was thinking it could mean "reciprocate."
Geez, and I thought I was bad for staying up until 2:30!
***WARNING, WARNING, COMMENTARY SPOILERS AHEAD!!!***
During discussion of how a technique used in filming the movie is similar to one Woody Allen gets praised for, Adam's "theory" as to why Chris doesn't get attention for it is seriously spit-your-drink-out funny. Then, Adam mentions something he learned from watching a documentary about "Saturday Night Fever," being completely serious.
It probably does have some implication of reciprocal action. You know. ahem.
mmm. pillow.
I can't wait for next Tuesday. it's keeping me sane right now. I need a night of just... fun.

I need some fun, too. I just got in contact with a friend from last year. I haven't seen her since last March! We're planning a coffee date in the very near future.
I'm off to bed. Thanks for the commentary bits, Billboard!! Hope you feel better soon, Em! Big hugs all around!
BG, did you ever know that you're my hero! (la la la la. I was singing...if you didn't catch that. Hehe). I love the spoilers. You were very caring for others to have a big warning.

I'm excited as well! I still have yet to get an answer for the gig after, but I'll find out soon.

Isn't the whole song supposed to be taken on two different levels, though? Maybe I'm putting far more thought into it than Adam did (for whatever reason, I don't doubt it), but I think it's about, um, that (I don't know how young some of the people who lurk are!) as well as symbolic for a relationship. "Hit back" could be reciprocal action literally and something about giving in a relationship context as well.
Me too, Em!
That's gonna be the uber-fun part!
Ugh. I WISH I could go to bed. I could use one of those rejuvenating, really long sleeps right now. I'm looking at six hours tops. Well, six hours either way. Because I can't function on less.
BG, your "warning" is almost as funny as what you described.
Good night, Allie!
SD, I absolutely think it's double entendre. That's why I like it so much. I think the act is a metaphor for something bigger.... and less dirty. Like a relationship.
*yawn*
Night, Allie!
Aww, thanks Chloe. However, I have a feeling that once you hear the commentary, you'll realize that it's a lot funnier than the warning . And it's not just funny stuff - there are some definite Analytical!Adam moments that I absolutely love.
BG, thanks for the warning. Of course I read it even though I didn't want spoilers. What's with his references to dance related movies? For someone so uninclined in dancing, he sure knows an awful lot about dance movies. Maybe he did some research to perfect the art that is "the bounce"
Interesting if he decided to research musical movies as part of getting into the project.
I took "Just Here" on a totally metaphorical level until encountering the dirty, whoops, uh, more analytical minds here at BWW.
I took it at the "relationship" face value entirely!

My mind must be completely in the gutter because I thought of the literal interpretation the first time I heard it. I won't lie!
Is "Just Here" by Mute..Adam Pascal Band..or what? I'm trying to see if I have it on my computer..but I don't think I do--unless it's an unknown artist.
Maybe he did some research to perfect the art that is "the bounce"
HAHA! XD
It's on Model Prisoner.
Hey, the gutter is a nice place! And I'm not just saying that because I thought of the dirty interpretation from the first time I heard the song
Oh, and Adam mentioned his documentary-watching during Tango:Maureen.

Hah, Jessica. He says swallow! How can the literal interpretation NOT float through your mind?
Did you call me Mel?
It's on Model Prisoner.
Thank you! I was looking for it...but my sister has Model Prisoner and I wasn't able to put it on my computer yet, which is why I couldn't find it.
Sorry! I didn't look closely enough - and you both start with an X. And it's getting late, and...

Heh, that was the part that completely convinced me that I wasn't just imagining the dirty, but I was mentally snickering as soon as I heard the "I bet you know just how loud I can scream" line.
Holy s**t, it took me 2 hours to listen to less than 40 minutes of commentary!
Just Here to the Left of YOU. :)
I interpreted swallow as... like, when you tell someone to stomach something, or deal with it. You know, like... he says what? "Swallow just a taste of all that I am..." -- so I figured he was saying like "this is who I am, get used to it."
