She's doing readings and stuff with FREE, allergen-free FOOD. I can never eat free food! I would go, if only for that, since college students love free food, but they're not in NYC.

I probably needed it too. I laid in my bed for like ten minutes all annoyed because I couldn't come back downstairs and get in the computer with my mom downstairs, because she stays up FOREVER. I figured that I wouldn't be able to fall asleep, but I did like a minute later.
Isn't a Yi Yip one of those aliens from sesame street?
Yeah, I think they're also called Martians.

Em, I'm looking at the blog now, and it says one of the appearances is in Pelham, NY. Isn't that only about 20 minutes away from Manhattan? I remember visiting my aunt when she used to live there and the trip from NYC wasn't long at all.

And when they get scared, they hide behind their mouths. Brilliance.
They have no right to be scared. They're SCARY.
I thought Pelham was on Long Island, but it might be in Westchester. I guess I can check. Then I have to take a train, which costs money, therefore negating the freeness of the food. And actually, I still don't have the book!
Morning, everyone.
I thought Pelham was in/near the Bronx.

I thought Pelham was in/near the Bronx.
I believe that's correct. I suppose you'd still have to pay some sort of transportation fee, but I can't imagine it would be too much.
oooh. Maybe it's not that far. :)
I should still get the book.
Pelham is just northeast of the Bronx, on the Metro-North New Haven line out of Grand Central.
ETA: Maybe the book will be available where she'll be speaking.

Probably will.
blah. it's almost time for my longest-day-ever to begin.
Good luck with your day. I should get to work too.

Those are definitely caps from the bootleg. There's one clip that I've been wanting a screencap of for months. I can finally get it soon!
I wish I knew how to make screencaps. I tried hitting the Print Screen key while watching the DVD on my laptop and pasting it into Paint, but the image just went to black when I tried to save it.

I can't remember who told me this. I had it saved on my computer. I'm assuming you're using Windows Media Player. If not... I don't know!
Screencapping in Windows Media Player - Go to tools, options and click performance. Drag the video accelerator down to zero and then pause the show in the place you want to cap. Hold ctrl+alt and then hit prt sc (print screen). Open Paint and go to edit, then click paste. An exact replica of what was on your screen should appear in the Paint document.
I was using Realplayer and did the Print Screen/Paste thing and the image showed up fine in Paint, but when I tried to save it, it just became a black rectangle.

Aw, which one, Em?
When Angel says "trim her tree" and "cuts" Roger's hair with the drumsticks, and Roger ducks away, laughing.
It's cold. It snowed last night. Side-walk plough didn't come. Waited twenty minutes for the bus. Fingers not functioning properly. Have to write an essay while packing .
I'm heading out to the air port now. I don't know how much internet access I'll have, so I'll talk to y'all in a week.
Have a safe trip!
*hugs Sarah*
Ugh, I feel like an idiot right now. I was planning to order a ticket on TDF yesterday to see a show tonight, and I forgot to do it. My roommate has a date tonight and kind of expects me to not be here for a couple of hours, and I have either barely enough cash to get something from the TKTS booth or I'm a few bucks short.
Try student rush somewhere?
You could always go to a movie if that doesn't work out.
