re: The Official Adam Pascal Love Thread, part six

Awww, feel better skittles.

So, there's been a change of plans. My roommate's date cancelled on her because he isn't feeling well, so my roommate is just going to go home for the weekend right after her last class. Now, instead of feeling like I have to go out, I actually have the room to myself.

Mandi, that's great!

Alex, do you enjoy writing? Of those 3 courses you're considering, History of Cinema seems like it would be the least writing-intensive, whereas you can expect to do a lot of writing for the other two (my high school's newspaper basically used the journalism class as its supplier of feature articles).

My high school had a Classic Films elective that pretty much everyone wanted to take because it was so easy. I always wound up taking electives that sounded really interesting (Journalism, History of NYC, The Comic Muse) but turned out to be a lot of work.

Atrias, do you mean that senior year is all electives for you, or that you can't take any electives until senior year? At my high school, once you were a sophomore there was usually room for one elective per semester in your schedule, and you could take 2 per semester in senior year if you had completed all of your requirements (I just took AP classes as my senior "electives").

Since our requirements are all filled, it means that we can take more electives. You can still take them when you're younger, but you usually don't have room for as many as we want.

I always wanted to take interesting electives, but since I was in band and took Spanksh, I never had room. I envied people who got to take things like the history of cinema!

Heh, my brother joined band so he wouldn't have to take electives "where they make you write stuff - you do enough of that in all of your other classes!"

Well, so much for that idea. My flight was cancelled.
