I have no idea, heh. This one is better (second page, last row, middle picture)...
Picture.
Book from The Red Shoes + music from Earth, Wind & Fire = laziest creators EVER
Cybele updated her blog, for those who care. She wrote about this pizza restaurant in Berkeley, which I totally envy. It sounds AMAZING.

So, in linking to the YouTube video, she saw comments such as "we can't hate her anymore"? Ugh.
Em, I have to imagine that there's at least one restaurant in NYC that's similar to the place she mentioned, no?
Probably. I think I'm going to try and find out! (Icouldemailherandaskifsheknowsofonebutyoucan'tletmedothat.)

Haha. You could just leave a comment asking if she knows of a similar place in NYC. Emailing probably isn't so bad, either, especially considering that your email will look like a godsend compared to some I've sure she's received.
Maybe I will, I'm legitimately curious. She seems like she would have like a list of restaurants or something. I don't think I can leave a comment without an account, right?

You can. Just select "other" and type in your name, I think.
I just read about Babycakes in Harper's Bazaar or something; have you been there, Em?
I have not.
It's like allergy-free Magnolia:

OMG!!!!
That made my day.
Hee, yay! Glad I mentioned it then!
I can't believe I never knew about this! It's probably bad that food is such a source of happiness.
So I saw Rent last night, from the first freaking row. Soooo amazing. I saw them spit. I'm not going to individually review the cast because they were all so amazing, and yes Bryce was back as Roger. And I'm now totally in love with Gavin Reign aka "hot dude" who played Gordon/The Man. My stand-out performances were Jed's Tango Maureen and Tracy's Over The Moon, they were both brilliant. I thought Arianda was a bit young and needed a little more training, but she was really good. During Out Tonight she was off-key on every "Out" and I thought that means I could be Mimi professionally. Then for Christmas Bells another girl came out as Mimi, so I guess Arianda was sick. Jennifer Colby Tanton was an amazing Mimi, and I'm a little sad I didn't get to see her do Mimi's first big numbers, but not enough to ruin the experience. The only "flaw" was when Jed said "before slitting his wrists in the bathroom" instead of "her wrists". And they changed "you can take the girl out of Hicksville" to New Jersey, which didn't flow as well. But still the most amazing theatre experience I have ever had.
After the show my roommate and I walked around looking for the stagedoor, we finally found it and I was able to get autographs and pictures from the people I really enjoyed in the show, Jed, Warren (Collins), and Hot Dude. I was everyone's last autograph because I was hanging back away from the crazies, and there were a lot of them. One of Rent's "biggest fans" didn't even know the stage version was different from the movie. Some girl had everyone sign her stomach, and another had I Love Rent written on her head, it was odd.
All and all one of my most awesome nights ever.
Woo Jed!
Glad you had fun!
Sounds like you had a good time!

Aww yay! I'm glad you had fun.
....They signed her stomach?
I'm glad you had a good time!
I'm really happy that you enjoyed it so much.
Yay, Sarah! I'm glad you had fun.
I didn't even try to stagedoor when I went, heh. *jealous*
Glad to hear you had such a great time, Sarah!
So...Hot Feet. The best way to describe that show is that if it were a movie, it would be one of those awesomely bad ones that you design drinking games around. The plot was not well defined and vaguely creepy, the big dramatic moments were so overacted, and it felt like most of the jokes were in there for their own sake and not to advance the story. On the plus side, the dancers were incredible, and any excuse to put hot people in spandex can't be all bad :-P

CanadianSnowbird: Great to hear you had an awesome time seeing Rent. Yay!
I've seen this cast three times now, and I have to agree that Jed and Tracy are the standouts. Bryce, in my opinon, is not always consistant with his chemistry. It's there during "Light My Candle" and all the interactions with Jed are great. However, by "Your Eyes," I feel no real sense of loss with his Roger. His voice is a higher tenor and very smooth. Very nice, but I personally prefer a voice that is lower and with a more rough, rock sound to it.
Arianda has a very Daphne-type voice. However, she pushes her voice too much during "Out Tonight." "Another Day" ends up suffering due to the damage done to her voice. The first time I saw her, she was cracking and wavering with notes on "Another Day." You could see people visably cringe during the song. I was sending positive vibes to her in hope that her voice will recover. It did by Act II.
I did the stage door after the second time seeing it in St. Louis. The cast liked my scarf. (Funny dialogue. Another fan asked if Jed could sign his playbill. Jed said that he didn't have a pen, but the person with scarf probably does.) The guy playing Angel even said, "I need to ask you, dear, where did you get that scarf?" I told him I made it and it was my first venture into knitting. He said, "To be quite honest, it's better than the one used on stage." Depite having a defective pen (the back end of it had snapped off, and the cast had to sign with the plastic tube portion), the stage door experience was fun.
Thanks for the review, Billboard Girl.

Yeah, I didn't get why she would ask for her stomach to be signed, it's not like she's able to keep it.
I also bought the Rent poster, simply because Cary was on it.
