Yeah, it seemed kind of like a marketing ploy, or something. I have no idea what the B was.
JLS, are you going to see Anthony tonight?
Yeah, I think that it's the same logo from that station that's pumped into all of the hotel rooms. My cousin and I watched it for a good half hour though, so I guess it works?
It was my plan, but then I got a phone call from the dr's confirming my 4pm appointment. Good thing they called since I totally forgot about it! They wound up not even seeing me til 5 and I just got home. Sadly, it's about 40 minutes in the other direction to Delaware. I work only 20 minutes from there so my original plan was just to stay at work and get stuff done.
I'm sad!
I watched it. Meh. It's sad that the BWW video was better when this one is supposed to be "official."
I didn't even know Jai Rodriguez was there. He wasn't onstage for the SOL finale and I didn't see him anywhere at the party. He must have ducked in really fast or something; there aren't even any pictures of him. It's a bit weird. Maybe he was in the elusive smoking section.
And I agree that Lexi needs an av. It makes your posts look naked.
orangeskittles- I'm sure their videos will get better since it was only "Episode 1." Hopefully.
I'm sorry, JLS.

Haha, skittles. I hate when others don't use an avatar, so I should probalby get working on that. Everything I try looks so weird, though!
ETA: There! I hate the extreme brightness, but it's something.

Yay, you got one!
I love the new av, Lexi!
I wish I had taken more pictures that morning.
Yesss, Thrill of the Chase is on.

pretty av Lexi
Well, it took me 9 months before I got an avatar. I used to have a reason behind it, but now I realize that it's just easier to identify posters by them, especally in a thread like this where it's the same core group of people. Which is why I was so confused- I thought you were a new poster!

I was going to look through that Adam Pascal Online site for avatar photos, but it's down. Figures!
I effing love Thrill of the Chase, especially the cheesy echoing at the beginning of the song. I actually think it's a bit funny that the earlier years of W&V/Mute are SO not heavy metal at all!
Best bad song ever. And the added bonus is how amazing he sounds.
*gasp*
Wha...?
Woah.
I think I need to spend more time here. *kicks APs*
Total threadjack: Is anyone good at starting papers? I have to write an essay for English and I'm totally stumped! If you have any suggestions please PM me!

The song after it on the demo seriously depresses me. I'm such a sap!
awww. Well, I'm sappy too.
I'm probably sappier than the two of you put together.

It's not even a good song, but it sounds so heartfelt.
Hah, just for the record, I totally realize I'm completely biased. If it were anyone else with a mediocre song, no matter how heartfelt it was, it would be in my computer's recycle bin in one second.
Oh, me too, definitely.

Hee! He's all, "I want you to remember my name..." and I'm all, "AWWW."
I'm watching clips from concerts on MySpace. I hope he'll go back to the full band on the next tour, although perhaps some of his new material will be better suited to the piano. I think Larry is a wonderful pianist and the arrangements are certainly interesting, and perhaps it's just because I've heard the songs on the albums (with a full band) so many times, but I think a lot of Adam's music is better suited to a real band.
heh, exactly -- and then it's like "but we do!"
I get the impression he'll keep on this scaled-down thing of his, since that's what the new CD is. I was showing Fantab some old tapes I have of Adam with his band as it was for the Civilian promotional performances. I kind of miss them; they were all so amusing to watch!
Is Larry writing the arrangements, is Adam writing them and Larry is just being his pianist, or are they writing collaboratively?
I liked him with the band at Joe's Pub, but since I haven't heard him with Larry live, I don't want to judge. I hope the new CD has more than piano and guitar on it too, just for variety's sake.

I seriously wonder what Adam would think if he found out some people got their hands on songs of his from 1990.
I hope I'm right in saying that his new songs will probably work better as scaled-down pieces in the first place, as opposed to songs that sound like they were meant to be played with a band but later scaled down.
I have no idea, but I'd assume that it would be the same as before -- Adam writing the music and the other musicians just accompianing him. It would be kind of neat for them to write collaboratively and hear Larry's real influence on the music, though.
