I take it you're not allergic to tree nuts but have to worry about how most places that process them also process peanuts.
Right; I avoid all nuts, just to be on the safe side, but I'm only actually allergic to peanuts. It's just easier to do it that way.
The friend that I went to the Dominican with is allergic to nuts. She had to ask every restaurant what oil they cooked with, but most of the workers mainly spoke just spanish so they kept bringing her oil. She had a translation that she made before she came but neither her or her mother kept it with them. Which to me would've been something to have with you at all times, but whatever. On the flight there she had to move seats because someone opened a bag of peanuts and they had to make an announcement.
Don't even get me started on the airlines.
Oil is such an important part of cooking that I can see it being a real problem. I'm really unused to thinking in these terms too. For instance, I use walnut oil in one salad dressing I make, but it took me a moment to associate it with "nuts."
Got my ACT score today, but I don't know what it is because I'm too scared to open the envelope.

You probably did better than you think, so go for it.
Um, what exactly is ACT?
When I was in high school, I did way better on my ACT than on my SAT.
It's a standardize exam that you use for college applications.
Good luck, dancinqueen.
hah, "dood".
Good luck, dancin!
Shh, I can't type.
Oh, right. Your wrist. :-/
heh, I have a tendency to miss keys. :)
Well, that, too. But you should blame it on your wrist. That way, everyone can feel sorry for you.
Oh, I am!
Well I got a 25. Not as bad as I thought it would be. I sent my score to 3 colleges and my top-chioce college would consider me in the top quarter of students who apply based on my score. I'm very happy now.
Congratulations, Dancin, that sounds great.
::feels sorry about Emcee's wrist::
Congrats Dancin! I stink at standardized testing But anyways...
Emcee- My friend & her entire family (minus her parents) are all severely allergic to nuts. Each child in the family is allergic to different things, so their house is crazy about food allergies. My school, kinda recently (2002) became a nut-free school since there are a lot of kids (10, which doesn't seem like much, but most of them have crazy severe allergies w/ nuts) allergic to nuts. So there's my allergy bit for you all. :P
dancin, if I may ask, what is your first choice college?

dancin, that's the exact same score I got when I took it! Funny thing is, I did the best in the science section and science classes were always my least favorite. Go figure.
