What kind of a name is "weSparkle"? It sounds like a brand name that would be sold at Claires or the Icing. And leave it to Hollywood to have a gift lounge at a charity event.
Adam doesn't look too informal compared to the other men. Treat Williams wore a Hawaiian shirt, for heaven's sake.
Chloe - Unfortunately I didn't know anything about the event beforehand. I was just searching for pictures of Adam and these came up. But if anyone is interested in the centre that the benefit supported, the link to their website is as follows: http://www.wespark.org/
orangeskittles - The name "weSparkle" comes from "weSpark" the name of the Cancer Support Centre that the benefit supported.
Thanks Connie. I read somewhere else that it was started by Wendie Jo Sperber, an actress who died of breast cancer recently. It seems like a decent charity to support.
I guess every event in Hollywood has a gift lounge, Amy!
ETA: Since Lexi isn't here to say it, I'll add that this is when a well-updated official site would come in handy.

I'm not Connie, but I'll answer anyway. Yep, Max Greenfield is the guy who played Leo on VM.
If you look at some of the group performance pictures, Adam stands out. This might be just the lighting in the case of the pictures, but that's pretty much what seeing him on stage is like. The light just seems to come from within him.
In other news, the NFL Dad IMDb page says that the production has been postponed due to Hurricane Katrina. The script was about the New Orleans Saints, so this is understandable. I wonder if this means there's still any possibility that Adam might eventually work on it.
Would it matter if they changed it to be about another team? I still say it badly needs a new name.
When I was first looking into this, I found out that the writer is a diehard Saints fan and spent a long time interviewing players and their families and hanging around the team. It sounds like a lot of the script is tied into them specifically.
And yes, this movie desperately needs a new title.
I think I might die. My sister just told my mom that she wants a Wicked themed room. And I quote "I want one wall painted pink and then in a darker pink write popular. On the other wall I want it to be green and then in black write Defy Gravity. Then above my closet I want to write Wicked like on the posters and stuff. And then I want to take pictures from my program and make them bigger, frame them and hang them up on my wall."

Completely random, although I don't think it matters much at this point: Does anyone know when Adam wrote the Model Prisoner songs? All after AP Band broke up or were they written throughout the years post-Mute?
Over a long period of time; presumably, I think, from after the band broke up, through Rent, and into the time up until he recorded.

Thanks.
I just learned that No Trace was actually written pre-Model Prisoner. I could really see it on that album instead of Civilian; it fits well on Civilian but seems very much in the vein of many of the songs on MP.
Also, Adam performed What I Did for Love around 2001. His rendition of it on this year's tour was quite a bit more stirring, though.
ooh, where'd you find this stuff out?

Um... inferences from a DVD I acquired some time back and didn't realize actually played until last night. Heh.
He lies about Civilian, then...

Why, what did he say about it?
To be fair, I thought I heard him mention No Trace was written pre-MP on the recording, but it's really difficult to hear what he's saying. This concert is from June 2001.
He just always says it was *all* written after 9-11. I guess it's pointless to be like "oh, except this one song!" but for some reason, I'm amused.

Well, maybe he just felt silly saying that it was all written post-9/11 "except for this one song, 'No Trace.'"
ETA: I'm pretty sure you have this concert on your computer as well. You've sent me files from it before.

I don't even know what I have anymore.

See, if you sent it all to me, I could go through it and ID it all for you 'cause I'm anal like that. :-P
I agree Lexi, No Trace would fit on Model Prisoner. I wonder why he put it on Civilian.
He probably ran out of room, or something.

Wow, someone else actually reads this thread!
Maybe he felt it would get lost in the lull of the more mellow tracks in the middle. I think No Trace is superior to most songs on MP, though.
It's interesting how both of his CD's sort of have that middle-track lull. I guess it's sort of cohesive, though Civilian is way better at that than MP is.
I've just listened to the beginning of the No Trace intro you were mentioning, Lexi, and he talks about paying tribute to the people who influence us and who we grew up listening to, and some of the influences are subtle and some are overt, and this song is influenced by [totally can't tell, but the audience sort of goes "aw"] so the influence is overt.
I know he keeps talking after that but I haven't tried to decipher it yet.

Yeah, I thought he mentioned that he wrote it pre-MP after the talk about his influences, but now that I'm listening again, I think he says something about it being the last song (of the set), not something about his last album.
Well, either way, it was definitely written pre-9/11.
