There was some reserve on it that was never met, but could have been as high as $250 or $300. When no one bid that high, it was offered to me for my maximum bid of $140. Still an awful lot, but I couldn't resist.

Sh*t, my mom just came in my room and yelled at me for still being awake and online. I'm probably going to get yelled at again in the morning for waking her up in the middle of the night. Ah, the joys of being home.

I'm dreading that; I hate being home because I can't live on my own schedule when I'm here. I plan to be using the home computer late at night, but since it's a desktop, the keyboard isn't nearly as quiet as the one on my laptop is. My parents usually don't wake up, but when they do, they aren't happy. If I'm typing on that keyboard, they will definitely wake up.

Typing never seems to wake my parents up. Though, their room is on the other side of the house.

The computer is in the room right next to their bedroom. Of course. I could go use the one downstairs, but it's creepy down there at night, really cold down there all the time, and that computer is even slower.

I hate that just because my parents go to bed before 10, they act like I should too when I'm home. I mean, when I'm at school, I usually stay up until 1 and I function just fine!

My parents' room is pretty much right across the hall from mine. I'm not sure if it was my typing that woke my mom up (I tend to be a noisy typer even on my laptop because I have long nails), or just the fact that I still have the lights on in my room (I can't close my door all the way).

Mine do that, too; they expect me to go to bed at 9 just because they do. oy. I'm not up banging pots and pans, so they shouldn't try to make me go to bed.

And the thing is, it's not like I went to bed early before college and now I don't; they were yelling at me for staying up late on the living room computer back when I was in high school. They should be used to it by now and realize that it's not as bad now that I have a laptop and can stay in my room and not have as many bright lights on in the house.

Adam Love Sorry guys, I actually went to bed at midnight, I can't remember going to bed that early.

Thank god my parents aren't like that--last year(my mom retired this year) some nights I'd be up till 4 and my mom would get up at 5. It was kinda funny. She'd shake her head at me, but the desktop is 4 rooms down from their bedroom so I'm good at not keeping them up. Plus, my mom can sleep through anything.

I live in a teeny weeny apartment with my mom. I think she had the same sleeping habits when she was my age so she doesn't mind them. The only problem is that I leave my room to go into the kitchen, it would completely wake her up.

Ugh, my parents are already on my case about how I need to not stay up so late tonight and tomorrow night because we have to be ready to leave for the airport by 5 AM on Saturday. I need to get them in a good mood, because I already get the feeling they're going to throw a fit when I tell them I'm planning on bringing my laptop with me on the cruise.
