Hmm, I feel so left out, not being an Elvis Costello fan.
No, not really, but maybe I should start listening to some of his stuff. I've never actually heard his music before.

Nope, no bike. The grocery store is only across the street from my building, but I can still only buy as much as I can carry! I never shop with a cart; only a basket.
And it crackles like crazy in some parts, right, Emcee? But I like it all the same. The CD set is a must-have, though, I think. It's perfect for listening to while you're walking... and it makes me want to dance around!

Aww, that's no fun. Well, being the odd person I am, I would drag a suitcase into the store and pack my groceries into there.
I refuse to use shopping carts. Refuse. Sometimes I take a backpack and put my bags in it so I can carry more home, but I only buy what fits in a basket, anyway.
It's crazy crackly. I sorry

Heh, well, seeing as I still live with my mother, we pack the cart as much as possible. We are a family of three (including my brother), but my brother eats enough for at least four people. And we have a pretty big trunk, so we stock up on lots of food.
Well, when I go food shopping at home, we fill up at least one cart. My dad likes to shop in bulk.

I usually take an empty backpack to put some of the heavy stuff in. Yesterday, the cashier was like, "Did you fit all of this in a basket?" Spread out, it DID look like a lot, I guess! But I still missed stuff.
Don't be sorry, Em, it's still good!

Heh, my dad's a huge fan of Costco.
Where everything at least quadruples in size, if not more.
We stock up on stuff like it's the Ice Age or whatnot.
That's how my parents are. We have so much stock in my house, it's ridiculous.

Yeah. And it's sad, because since my mom cooks a lot, we use everything up, too.
I think we bought a 12 pound flour bag the other day...
The closest grocery store at school is a half hour walk. So me and my roommate usually go together on the bus with a cart. I hate pushing it through the snow.
Ooh, a download link! *right-click, save-as*
Ugh, how is it that being on vacation is making my sleep schedule even more off-kilter instead of fixing it? I'm probably getting less sleep than I do when I'm at school, thanks to my mom having some sort of early-morning appointment for me almost every day, and I'm staying awake beyond the crashing point since I'm just laying on my bed with the laptop anyway instead of sitting at a desk.
Heh, I'm really lazy when it comes to grocery shopping. I just get the essentials like milk at the deli across the street, rely on my parents bringing me stuff whenever they come to visit, and eat at restaurants as often as I can.
Grocery shopping with my parents, on the other hand, is fun. They also love Costco and the enormous quantities of everything, and when I'm home for extended periods of time they'll take me to Trader Joe's and let me pick out all the food I like.
12 pounds of flour?! Actually, there's probably one of those in my house.

My aunt and uncle LOVE Costco (which we've always called the Price Club). They went in for some snacks for Christmas, and came out with a $2000 TV!
My dad goes to BJ's for fun. He'll go to buy like... one thing, and come home with tons of food we don't need.
All the electronics that I get for Christmas have come from Costco. My mom shops there a lot too, we always end up with a ridiculous amount of stuff.
Aww, 10 things. I may pick it up from the library one of these days.
Actually it's amusing, Frankie Valli was the one who came out w/ "Can't Take My Eyes Off Of You," and in Jersey Boys there's an adorable story of how unwanted it was and no one thought it would do well and it ended up becoming the 5th most played song of the century

Allie, my dad is the EXACT SAME WAY. He buys electronics at the speed of light, and disposes them as quickly as he gets them. Granted he's not really helping with making the Earth a better place, but as long as he has his Plasma TV, he's happy.
Heh, my parents will go to Costco or BJs for one thing they really need, and emerge 2 hours and $250 later. I can't tell you how many times we would stop off at Costco on the way to the beach to get some snacks to put in the cabana, and before we knew it, we had tons of stuff we didn't really need.
Speaking of Costco, those fresh chocolate chip cookies they sell in the bakery department are my ultimate weakness. Yum.
My dad wants a plasma TV, but he has to compare and comparison shop and then read Consumer Reports, and then ask everyone he knows that has one and then ask the professionals and then comparison shop some more. After all of that, he'll decide he doesn't want to spend the money at all.

That's like me with big purchases. I hate getting something, and then realizing it's not as great as I thought, so I read everything I can find about it, and ask tons of people about it.
I hate going to Costco with my dad, he has to stop at all the free sample counters. Thankfully he's not looking for plasma yet, he got his big screen TV a couple years ago and just got surround sound, so that should keep him happy for a bit.
Heh, when my family first started going to Costco, my little brother and I would run around in search of the free samples while our parents shopped.

Same here. That's why it took me forever to finally get my own digital camera (and I'd probably still be comparison shopping if my mom hadn't told me I was going to go to the store, pick one out, and it would count as a Hanukkah present)
I made my dad take me to all the electronic stores so I could find a stereo. I saw the same one that I loved at every store, I just couldn't afford it. He finally allowed me to pay him back once the government gives me my GST cheque. (the taxes they took off me while I was working).
