Well, as much as I want to stick around, the higher powers (read: Mom) are ordering me to get to bed so that I'm "well-rested" for my exam tomorrow. Whatever that means; there will be no sleep tonight.
Pleasant dreams, everyone!
nighty night, Snaps.

Sweet dreams, Snaps.
Nia, come back!! I didn't really hurt your feelings a tad, did I?
::pokes head in::
Everyone okay? I'm so excited about the website appearing.
I think I stopped breathing when I saw it.
I'm already thinking about what I should post when comments open up for Adam's posting.

OH HOLY CRAP! I just saw the website. Woo!
ALLIEEE!
I'm very curious as to what he'll end up posting.
RENT website is here! Nia has an eye picture up, maybe I should return to mine, we can stare at each other.
Emcee has a new Raul avatar!
Too much change, even though all good!
At least Snaps is still a fraggle, I'll be upset when he changes.
He'll probably forget for a while, Chloe.

EMCEEEE!!
MORE good news, for me anyway. Apparently Canadian banks are going through tests or something to have their debit cards usable for online shopping. Maybe even by the end of this month!! I have a giant list of things to buy from amazon.ca, and I can't wait!
YAAAAAAAAAAAAY!

*says goodbye to money forever*
Great Allie! I hope it works out for you.
I wouldn't be surprised if Adam doesn't post much. I think I came across something from him in someone's guestbook back in '98 though. I'm going to try to find it.

I loooooove the new Rent site (even if there isn't much on it yet) It makes today seem less... icky?
And I finally came up with a thesis statement for my English paper, so YAY!
And Yay! for Chloe possibly finding something Adam wrote, even if it's slightly dated.
*Does happy dance*
*Falls over*
*Gets back up to work on essay*
Wow now Allie is going to spend crazy amounts of money she doesn't have.
I saw Chitty tonight, and I must say I wasn't very happy.
Raul was good, but as you have said before Emcee the material totally lets him down. The audience was horrible and this little boy beside me kept jumpung around and talking. I could not even hear "Hushabye Mountain"
I also did not care for Kudish and Maxwell, even though that is not a very popular opinion.
I think I would have had a good time and seen the show as just fun if not for the audience being just awful, they kept clapping over song lines and anytime Raul was onstage it seemed to be the cue for someone to start throwing something around or bounce up and down.
Argh, his voice (when I could hear it) was beautiful though. And I adored his dancing. Especially the plaid suit with coat. I thought he pulled off the "loving father" really well too.
Wow that was almost a review, sorry to clutter the Adam thread with it, go Adam, post soon!
Damn, I didn't save the link. Anyway, it was a no longer active RENT and Adam fan site. None of the links worked except the guestbook, and back in '98 someone saying he was Adam (and I think it was) wrote saying thanks for keeping up the site, that rehearsals were going good in London, and they'd be working on the APB record mix once the show opened.
ETA: Hi ballerina and penguin!

I saw one audience, penguin, that was full of kids, and every time there wasn't a big dance number or a lot going on, the overwhelming feeling was one of restlessness. Hushabye Mountain was mixed with whispers of bored kids, and that's SUCH a shame, because Raúl works his effing BUTT off up there. Then, I went on a weekday, and I saw another (less enthusiastic, but still really great) far more appreciate audience with far less kids. They didn't get the standing-o the family-filled audience gave them, but they were still a pretty good audience.
I'm gonna go back soon, I think. It's definitely my new soft-spot. Did you rush?
ETA - sounds like Adam used to be a lot more visible on the net. Kind of a shame he's not anymore... he used to post on the Sh-k-Boom boards, I think? I'd at least like if he still did that every so often. Back in the Fall, though, he was sending out chain e-mails and things.
I did rush, and the seats were pretty great, right in front of the mezzanine in the very center of the orchestra. I do think I would love to see the show with a more appropriate audience, I also wish someone would actually start teaching their children how to behave, I mean think about it there are children well enough behaved to be IN a Broadway show, they should be able to act right AT one. Of course most of the parents were even worse. I'm afraid its people I hate. They gave that car bigger claps than RAUL! That made me upset, no matter how much I expected it!
Yeah, she's the star. Ha. Did he get entrance applause, at least? The first time it was super-delayed, and I thought he wasn't going to get it. The second time, people knew he was coming - huge grin on my face from the roaring applause.
Not one peep, I tried to start it but just like a DRS a few times ago with Norbert, people just stared at me like I was crazy. Mine was delayed because it took a second to recognize him, but I was literally the only one clapping.
*sobs*
after most of his songs, I felt the same way
*sobs more*
this was really one of the worst audiences ever.
Ugh, they couldn't even let him have it tonight? That's painful.
Way to sting an open wound.
it was very sad and painful, but if it helps I think there were only two or three people there who have ever heard of the Tony awards.
They did give a standing ovation, to the car.
