Anything really. If you'll understand my dilemma, it's a community theatre production, and they're including all performers from 15-21. So small chance I'll get the role I want (Amneris ). AND the fact that I'm still underage, but what the auditors don't know won't hurt them.
I'm auditioning with The Life of the Party, but honestly, I can sing Amneris' actual songs so much better. Maybe not necessarily better, but it's more comfortable.

I love Hook! And AIDA. And I'm curious as to what Nia's avatar is!

It's blown glass. I love Chihuly. :)
Aigoo, why aren't you using another song if you can sing it better?
I'm not sure if I'm actually allowed to use a song from the show. I asked the auditors though. I'm waiting for a reply. And also, I don't have the sheet music to any of Amneris' songs.

Hello everyone! I have emerged from the deep depths of homework-land victoriously... except that I still have a short writing assignment and a test to study for. But other than that, wheeeeeee! Listening to Cabaret while writing is really quite nice.

Hooray for Cabaret indeed. Especially with a certain diva, erm, singing. Yeah...
But now I'm listening to the lovely clip of Raúl singing Defying Gravity (from his website). My gosh, his way of belting the ending is so... hot. Especially the word "I" from "tell them how I..." Amazing.
Thread-jack:
This guy on the news can't say the "hu" sound in words such as "human", "humor", etc.
He says like...yooman, and yoomer.
hee. His voice has ungodly sex appeal.

Indeed. My gosh, why didn't I discover his website sooner? These sound clips are amazing. And now I have more Raúl than just my ttB CD.
Of course I was! That vibrato could kill. Edit - I just saw why you were questioning. I totally missed the post about the news guy.
(P.S. I'm a girl!)
You should get Taboo, ballerina.
Hey guys sorry to butt in... I hope I'm not interrupting anything(I doubt any of you remember me)- Its Amanda :)
I haven't been here in forever (wow things have changed a lot)
I must say though, Adam thread part 2 is already over 5000 posts? Impressive! Anyways. Just thought I'd say hi. I can remember the many hours I spent on the first Adam thread and its great to see some familiar usernames.
Speaking of Raul- ::melts:: I have the video of him on Seth's Broadway Chatterbox. Heh. My friend even re-recorded it with just his songs for that particular show playing over and over again for me.
whoaaa, hi!
Which Chatterbox, the Defying Gravity one?
Yea the Defying Gravity one... I think he sang something from Chess too? Or perhaps I'm mixing him up with Adam. I haven't watched them in a while so correct me if I'm wrong.
He sang "Heroes" from Three Guys Naked from the Waist Down, a song called "Lonely House," and then "Defying Gravity." Adam didn't sing at either of his, but Seth showed Chess video clips at Adam's second - "Pity the Child," and "Nobody's Side" (where Raúl "f*cks up").
Okay so I was way off there ::is ashamed::. I knew somehow Chess was involved and thats about it. Now I remember. "Heroes" is gorgeous song. I was trying to get a hold of the sheet music for my voice students a while ago but no such luck.
Anyways, just thought I'd drop by since I had a moment, it was nice 'seeing' everyone.
I Hope you ladies have a wonderful night :)
