cam, I think a new location just sort of perked everyone up. It makes me happy. I hope we don't end up like the Adults Smoking and quit after starting our second thread.
We will NOT!
Hey friends!
Am a quite well. I got a Superior rating at FL state thespians, saw THE MOST AMAZING HIGH SCHOOL SHOW EVER, and now, ironically enough, the cold I had the whole time I was on a school trip, is almost completely gone in time for me to wake up at 6 to go to school tomorrow.
as Lorell Robinson from Dreamgirls would say "This business sure got a lot of ups and downs"
nia, you're offering me a CLONE? And you think you'll convince me that way? We've gone over the problem of your stupid clones.
And, good to hear, b2b.

*long, heavy sigh*
Fine, amasis. I'll loan you the real deal for a night.
You'll never even know that I lied.
star, CONGRATS!! And whatever show you saw, it wasn'ty better than Ohio's 'Bang Bang, You're Dead.' I saw it twice and the entire theatre was sobbing by the end of each performance.
That's an INCREDIBLE play, nia.
Nia, I saw Beauty and the Beast, and ya'll can laugh if you want to, but the Gaston was 16 and sounded excatly like Brian Stokes Mitchell (and that's not counting Belle and the Beast, don't even get me started), they did a dance with beer mugs that was more complicated than the original Broadway choreography, and Be Our Guest was so fantastic the audience gave them a standing ovation for a FULL MINUTE (60 seconds), and that song is in the middle of the first act
ya'll know I don't cuss much, but I have to say, that show was F*CKing Phenomenal
I was in tears and everyone in the entire audience sang along to the final "Beauty and the Beast"
STOKES!!!!
... I saw that and got lost. Missed the rest of the paragraph.

I know how long a minute is, Starry2.
That is something, though. Bang Bang, You're Dead is definetly a minimalist thing, so I won't compare. But even the second time I cried. The actors were crying. When Josh lays down at the end and sobs, it just kills you.
I'm dead serious
The kid was a sophomore
he was probably 15 just to spite me
it's gonna take me a LONG time to see a high school show again
nia, I have heard of that show before and have been meaning to order it, but there is nothing that could compare to 3,500 teenaged drama freaks seeing their favourite movie from when they were 4, live on stage with other teenage drama freaks performing freakish beyond high school level

nia, are you saying that the real deal is just as weak as your half-assed clones? How pathetic. *goes and wake up camel*
That's great to hear, both of you. It's always wonderful to hear about schools that have great theatre programs... You don't have to compare it, nia, but do tell more about the performance you saw...

Star, I'm not sure if it would have the same impact when read. The end is repetitive, when the victims list all of the things they'll never do, but it's very powerful live. What really makes it is when Josh, the main character who shot his fellow teens, just breaks down. He has the look of perfect horror on his face and in the end he just lays down and sobs, like he finally understands what death is. It's incredible when done well.
I loved Beauty and the Beast as a kid. I'd watch it twice a day.
I still can't believe I wasn't made aware of some Ellie bashing. That's my favorite past time after kicking puppies on sidewalks. I suppose I did a good deal of both last night and early this morning though. (Sucker.)
Sooo...is the other thread linked here for posterity's sake?

Nia loves me really. We're bonded by our mututal hatred of you, Tiff.
yep first page hun..
My theatre company is doing B&B next season but I dont think I will work on it.. I think I'm going to not work with this company next season. I'm annoyed with them.
Som and I are bonded together by our mutual desire to see you fall, plus our distrust of someone who waffles between BJ and Bono. Make up your mind, traitor. Not that it matters - BJ is Som's; Bono is mine. It's a consensus and we like it that way. End of story.
Nia, I'm sure the show is very moving and please don't think I was degrading it
It's just that production with that crowd, I wish there were words, but I honestly thought to myself "This is why I want to be in theatre"
These kids put their hearts and souls and blood and sweat and tears into a show that they'd all grown up with and loved and the audience was SO INTO IT. There really is no feeling like hearing 3,530 something people singing together followed by THUNDEROUS applause
can you tell I'm still on Cloud Nine? I haven't been so moved by a live show since the last time I saw Q

The closest Tiff will ever come to Bono is when he points her out at the trial. By videophone.
And as for BJ, well, Nia knows he's mine. But Nia, don't fall for her pathetic attempts to turn us against each other! You know what she's like - unhinged.
Tiff, Smeagol has never looked hotter
Nia would respond, but she's busy with BJ in her bed.
Thank you, bs2b. The dress makes him look kinda chubby though, don't you think?
