I hope!

I'm in a very good mood today, I got to see Chicago! funfun. I wonder if any shows would ever do their pre-broadway run in Columbus? I can always hope... imagine if Adam did a new show that got started here! *sigh*

He's universal

Aw, that'd be great.

Guys, this is semi-related to Adam since our boy did Cabaret and all. If you hadn't heard yet, Fred Ebb (wrote Cabaret with John Kander) died yesterday. Moment of silence, ladies?

Ok, I was silent for the moment. I am sorry to hear that.

Anyway, I just wanna say I love you guys even more after reading CB. I need my Adam lover friends.
#3007

He's universal

Thanks dear.

I saw that CB stuff. I thought about jumping in, but I've done enough - let it go.

Feel free to jump in if you like.

I guess he's maybe kinda a diva/stuck on himself, but I love his voice all the same.
#3009

He's universal

He isn't as much diva as they're making him out to be. He's got confidence and he knows he's great, but he isn't arrogant. Arrogrant is a strong word... I'd say he's got some "arrogance" in him, but he isn't an arrogant person. Wow... way to over-use a word!

CB certainly does get interesting sometimes... He's universal I can only take it in small doses, though. Besides, this site has already taken all of my spare time. Sigh.

While you're here, amasis, much thanks for what you did say. I'm horrible at defending people, I always make things worse. Thanks for being rational and putting the good word in for our boy.

All of my knowledge of Adam as a person is secondhand, so I can't offer any kind of opinion.

oh, well... I had fun writing what I did, and I meant what I said. It's surprising that the way he sounds in interviews, the fact that he broke character, had to become such huge materials for criticism. I am tired mostly because the critics over there were talking about him (and any other people they're criticizing, for that matter) in one shade only -- when actually people are so complex. Including Adam, I'm sure He's universal

Awww.. QM you're so nice to me! Except when you tell people I'm dirty. He's universal Did you see broadway on broadway??? Where's YOUR review??

so wait how did defending adam's talent on that other message board turn out?

that probably made no sense whatsoever

"It's surprising that the way he sounds in interviews, the fact that he broke character, had to become such huge materials for criticism."

People will look for anything to go at someone for. And honestly, certain things that he says in interviews are really difficult to read. Often he won't word things very well, and if you can't hear the tone in which he's saying stuff, it's hard to tell just how he means it.

I even stopped reading this stuff. Occasionaly, I will still say something depending on how the person critisized him. Some people obviously just want to provoke us... I stopped replying to those a very long time ago. You know, the ones (usually Swings who only just registered) popping up in a thread and just abusing him. There is no point.

Amasis, I had a lovely time, thank you. I'm still at work, will probably have more 'time' to talk about it after work He's universal

CB irritates me...I got flamed for asking people why they must always bash one another...it was rather amusing though. I never could understand why RENTheads have to be so mean to one another...kinda a paradox there

i lurked there for a while before i came here.. most of it was ammusing to me but i never quite understood how people can call themselves a RENThead when they bash adam pascal. sure liking RENT doesnt mean you need to love every person ever involved in it, but i think that they should at least respect him or not say anything...
#3021

He's universal

EXACTLY! And they're so darn mean to one another too...isn't RENT about love? I pointed that out to them and started getting "Well, I'm not really a RENThead, I just like watching actresses in tight blue pants!" which just totally wrecked the whole thing for me.

Anywho, off to play with Roger some more He's universal Good night all!

Not to change the topic, but QM did you call Kean today? I decided to take a drive up there this afternoon to pick up my tickets. Thought it would take me longer than 20 minutes, but it didn't. I've never been there before. I didn't go online earlier today, so I didn't realize your issue of GA, or I would have asked them.

I also picked up their 2004-2005 brochure and there's a picture of Adam and Daphne on the cover, if you guys haven't seen it. It's a picture of each of them. They used Adam's latest AIDA headshot, but they reversed it for some reason. His tattoo is on his left arm. When I picked it up to look at it, I said to myself, "that's wrong". Then I started questioning my memory, but I was positive he has it on his right arm. I don't know why they reversed it. Seems kinda' weird.
I hung out with Cheyenne Jackson in his dressing room waayyyyyy before he tickled D2.

They always just use the same things anyway and sometimes it's SO obvious that they just want to have a reaction. If we react it will never stop.

I think we all know that Adam is not everyone's cup of tea. With that voice you CAN'T be everyone's cup of tea. I have a lot of friends who think he sounds awful, others think he sounds great. We just need to accept the fact that he 'attracts' a lot of criticism and let people talk sh*t. They just get a kick out of it when we argue with them.

Yeah, they were. I called there this AM and the machine said they opened at 2:00, so I called there again about 2:30 and she said they were there and I could come in and she double checked that I did have tickets waiting.

Just because you don't like someone doesn't mean you have to bash them.

Anyway, what flyer is this with Daphne and Adam?
