Thats the thing though. If he's in it, he will get more publicity, job offers etc. Do you think he will get all brainwashed into thinking Broadway is 'below' him?

I'm not expecting much from this movie. I mean, yes, it's RENT, and I know I'm being an idiot, but I hate change. I feel like mass media is not going to do any justice to what RENT is. I'm also - still being a self-proclaimed idiot - am afraid that if Adam does this, we're going to lose him to Hollywood. I've seen it happen once with one of my favorite stage actors, so I'm kind of wary. *shrugs* I don't know. I'm going to shut up now, and should probably stop focusing on an issue over which I have no control.

I dunno...Adam seems to really love Broadway. I don't think that he'd leave it to do film.

He would if he had better oppertunities, and rightly so. Why should you take a small, poorly written part if there's a big film role available?
I agree that RENT could easily be screwed up, but I've discussed it for so long that I've just decided to let it go. Come what may.

No use worrying, I suppose... or so I need to keep telling myself. This should be the least of my worries... and it's not good that this comes at a time when I'm for some reason in a really nasty, confrontational mood. Appologies in advance tonight, ladies, for any potential slips of the tongue.

I'm not offended, NTG, I've just beat the topic to death everywhere else. It's not anyone's fault, but I am just trying not to lose sleep over it.
If it makes anyone feel any better, Columbus has seen Rent many, many times and there are a lot of people involved in the broadway production now on the movie staff.
