Guys, I just read the fine print in Civilian... so which of these songs did Adam actually write by himself? Looks like not a lot of them.

I think he wrote the lyrics, and basic music alone - but had help with the orchestrations.

Mother's Child and Civilian both are really really creepy. So is 10,000 Miles..

On my first listen of Civilian, those two songs actually jumped out at me as having the best arrangements. I really like both of them .

And I'm not sure that bothers me - I mean, he probably sat down and wrote lyrics and melodies on guitar. I'm not bothered that he didn't do the arrangements all alone... there's a difference between being able to write music and being able to compose orchestrations.
