She was in "Men in Black", "Josie and the Pussycats", "The Rundown" and a few others (those were the only ones I've seen). I just checked IMDB... I'm REALLY hoping she can sing.

I'd rather have seen them cast someone who's played Mimi before - since a lot of the rest of the cast is VERY experienced with these parts... but, they're done right so far, so maybe this is okay.

Oh come on guys.. have some faith! They wouldn't have cast someone who can't sing. They also wouldn't have cast someone who couldn't dance, especially since it looks like 'Out Tonight' is a dance act at some club. It would have been unfair to cast someone who couldnt sing into a group of people who have played these roles and sang these songs every night for months. The only thing I have a problem with is that I wish they had screen tested her with Adam and considered his opinions as well...

I don't know. It just sort of seemed unlikely. Plus when Anthony gave us the clues about the 3 women screen testing, he didn't mention if anyone else was present. I guess that doesn't eliminate the possibility completely, but I still don't think Adam was there...

Oh well. The only thing we can really do is hope that they hit it off at rehearsals I'm trying to limit my judging of the cast until I can see for myself.

I hope they announce the other casting soon. They're only announcing certain ones, and it's driving me crazy!

So far we have Mimi, Roger, Mark, Maureen, Collins, and Benny. I hope Jai is chosen for Angel. Who could be Joanne??

Wilson has been offered Angel and someone (sorry I can't remember.. go check the Rent Casting thread) has been offered Joanne.. I don't know if they've accepted yet though

Ok, thanks for that information, Glory. The only two Angels that I could see are Wilson and Jai. I know Jai auditioned and said he'd "cry" if he wasn't cast, but Wilson would rock.

As for Joanne, I have NO idea.
