Wha? So soon? I thought you'd be a lot later than this.
Well, we can all entertain ourselves with old threads until then. Go eat something!
Okay, it's coming. Let me go type!

LUCKY BIATCH!!!!!!!! *runs and cries in the corner*
i'm so jealous but at the same time so happy for you sweetie
Oh.
My.
God.
I know I start like half of my posts like this, but I really don't even know where to begin. I guess, okay - clothes.... the red shoes, again, black pinstipe-y pants, white button down top with a collar, patrially open (yay) - white's not his best color, but he still looks incredible. Hair was kinda flat again, but I think that's just because it's cold. I flat-iron my hair... I sympathize. Every time he ran his hands though his hair, my fangirly heart skipped a little beat. It was lovely. While was tuning he'd chit-chat a little bit. Someone was like "Adam, you're losing too much weight." Made me laugh... he was like "Huh? Oh, I'm loosing too much weight? Oh, well that's... an interesting comment..." Silly Adam. More on his silly comments later.
He came on stage and was like "this is my record. I hope you like it!" Someone asked him to say more, and he was like "that's all I'm sayin' baby!" So he sang all of Civilian, but not in order, ending with I'm With You, but he left out Book of Endings. This was the first time he did the new music with a full band (though he did do a few songs on acoustic guitar, he played electric most of the time) and you can see that there really still is a lot of rock star in him. You can see that as wonderful as he is in musical theatre, this is what he was meant to do. I couldn't stop smiling because he is simply a joy to watch up there, rockin' out, having a great time. I love seeing him perform because he's talented and sexy, but also because I love to see how happy it makes him. I really do, and I mean that. He's very, very musical - everything about him has a lot of rhythm, even though he doesn't really show it all the time. He did Tomorrow and the Sun first, and played tambourine while he sang.... definite hip-shaking during that number, too. I was definitely drooling. He has this adorable rocker-leg thing that he does, too. Most musicans tap a foot to keep time, which he does, but every once in a while it'll just start shaking up and down, or he'll kick it around a little. It's cute. Definite bouncing, and some semi-dancing, and just a lot of movement with and of the music. I'm a sucker for musical guys, so I was in heaven. So yeah, he did all of the songs basically as they appear on the CD... full band arrangements and such. Then he went "okay, last song!" and everyone made one big, simultaneous "awwwww" so Adam grabs the mic, rolls his eyes and re-creates a very exaggerated "awwwww." Got him some good laughs. So they all left, but everyone knew we were getting an encore. Adam and his pianist Jim came back out and Adam said he might need help with the next one. We all knew. He. Sang. Glory. I mean, granted, I'd seen him do it before, so this wasn't as special as the first time - that made me *cry*. This didn't do that, but it was still a really beautiful experience. He remembered all of the words this time, too. amd then finished with Book of Endings. Anyway, he sounded gorgeous, as always... he's so incredible.
Okay, so random funny stuff that I need to include now.
Outside there were Broadway.com video camera people who wanted to interview fans. I almost did it, but I clammed up - I so should've, though. The girl they talked to told the camera that she and her friends "wanted to have sex with his voice," and I caught something about them not seeing him in Cabaret or something. I wanted to take the microphone and say something constructive, but I didn't.
He was really candid tonight - lots of fun. He was like "how's the food?!" and said he'd never done a show where people were eating before. He said it was weird, and he didn't like it (kidding of course...). Midway through the show he was like "hey, whatcha got to drink?!?!" Cute. He was introducing one song, and then realized he was introducing the wrong one... lots of laughs, there, too. He was saying it was a song about people who are lonely and do all sorts of crazy things for love (Something of Ours) and when he switched over he was like "okay, no. This is a song about cool people!" He sang Ordinary Men Abound, and then before going into Something of Ours he was like "remember all the **** I said before?! That goes now." He has a really fun sense of humor, so yay for that.
Oh... Cybele was there. She's actually really pretty in person - pictures don't do her justice. And we didn't stage door. I felt weird, since I had just met him a few days ago, plus it was cold, and we weren't really sure if he was going to be doing the whole autograph thing tonight. Next time.
Okay, end long post. Took lots of pictures, but I took them with Undiscovered's camera, so I don't have any yet.

ok that was rude. i'm happy for you too! whoa now i have to read emcee's review. *grabs the tissue box just in case*
LOL, I didn't meet him. You won't be crying over mine.
adamized, do tell how you got that kiss... I need one of those, please! And he WROTE that Book of Endings is about "crazy fans and stalkers." Maybe the fact that he sang that last as a bit of a send-off had something to do with why I didn't stage door... I don't really take offense to it, I just felt funny... more because I just met him, but you get the point.

There will be a clip, probably in a couple of days.
If it was taped, it probably wouldn't have come out well - the music was really loud and there was lots of base.

Just popping in to say that I loved the gig tonight. It was wonderful to see him doing the whole rock-star thing.
Good to see all of the 'usual suspects' too

Any details? I don't mind hearing a retelling, not at all.
Glad you had fun.
