I hate them, too... but I have no choice. I tried to stop a few years ago because it was really inconvenient, and I was pretty sick after a couple of months.

Up at Mt. Sinai in the city... LOTS of allergy-related research, but mostly with food allergies. They're beginning to think it's something somewhat analagous to a missing antibody, and want to use the theories behind things like vaccinations and flu shots, etc. to make something to combat allergies.

Really? that's interesting.. man I would love to be allergy free.. Not that I will EVER aquire a taste for somethings.. All I can say is ewww..

Here's to the hope that they figure this out, can enjoy certain foods..

Asthma is an entirely different animal, unfortunately. And it's becoming an even bigger problem constantly.

I think I met this guy when I was about nine or ten. At that point, the estimate on any of this stuff was about ten or fifteen years, maybe more. I'm not holding my breath.

Probably does. Part of the problem making it so much more common in kids now is environmental factors like that... smoking, pollution, etc. The reason, though, that you can't 'cure' asthma is because of the scarring it causes.

... been to too many doctors... too many mini, in-office biology lessons...
