Yep.... I went out in flip flops in the SNOW last night. I didn't mean to, though. My school has tunnels, but they were LOCKED!! So I had to go outside.

my middle school had tunnels. i miss tunnels. now i can't even find my way around my middle school after the construction.

Random question for people who play guitar.

When I try to play a D major chord, my ring finger hits both the 5th and 6th strings at the third fret when it's only supposed to hit the 5th. It works if I substitute my pinky for my ring finger, but is that okay to do?

Yea it will be fine. As long as its comfortable and plays the right chord then whho really cares? Unless you plan on entering some technique competition or something (which I'm not even sure exists), it will be fine

I'm assuming your teaching yourself out of a book?

Yep, NTG, that's perfectly fine! I'm so bad at fingering it's not even funny... but like Glory said, as long as you're hitting the right notes, it doesn't matter.

Well, I'm the queen of the world's worst fingering on the piano...so I guess it figures.

I keep hitting the guitar with the pick, too...have to work on that.

Nothing wring with not having lessons (cheap, and you can play when you feel like it) Just saying that you don't have to follow *everything* the book tells you. Its more like guidelines

Yeah, not being forced to practice will be muchly nice. And I figured as much...just wanted to make sure I wouldn't be learning it wrong and messing myself up for stuff later.
