What did they talk about and did he only do Beautiful Song and I'm With You?

They talked about the shows he's been in, how he got the RENT audition through a friend of Idina... that he's working on the RENT film, his old rock bands, and that rock is really where he began. Then he sang Beautiful Song, and they did some more news-y stuff. He closed the show with I'm With You. I read he was going to do Glory, but that must've just been because they showed some old RENT spots.

Any funny jokes? 'Moments'? Clothes? Did he hit all his notes? Full band?

Um... I have to watch again, but no jokes. She was just getting the info from him. They had a big version of the Civilian poster up behind him. He wore black pants, a cute brown-ish long sleeved tshirt... it said something on it, but they never shot close enough for me to really read. He was wearing cute black sneakery things, too. The full band was there (I heart them....) and he sounded great. He didn't sing all of I'm With You, so there wasn't much for him to "hit," none of the riffs or anything. He sounded wonderful, I thought. Just like always. He was so happy today. Much more comfortable, and had his hot red guitar. Bouncing, etc.

Anything else? I need to watch again to see if there's anything else discussion worthy.

O Wow. Ok, maybe I just might not kill myself. My mom was just on the phone with my grandma, who's in North Carolina, and all of the sudden she hears Adam's beautiful voice singing in the background! I actually got to hear him singing Beautiful Song , which he sounded soo great in, and some of him talking about rent(he definitely did sound more comfortable) and then I heard Glory! But was that the footage from Rent or was that him singing it on the show...it sounded like him now.

(So I guess the show airs later on down South?)
Ps. My grandma said "Oh yeah, he's cute!"

CBS has a lot of video clips and whatnot online. I'd start checking tonight - you might get lucky.

adamaddict, the footage from RENT was the REALLY old clip of him singing Glory, sitting on the table in the purple pants. He looks like he's 12.

... I say this as Glory comes on my CD player.

What Rent clips did they show? Were they from the Lincoln Center tape?

No, it's the old RENT promo stuff. The same thing that was on the PBC documentary, if you saw it.

Hmm...was it the same old clip of him they had on "Broadway:The American Musical"? It really sounded like him now, like the way he sang it at Joe's Pub. Hey, I kinda feel like I'm Emcee, talking to Adam on the phone 'cause I couldn't see him. In a way, it's always kinda better to just hear his voice on the phone...ehem..through someone else's phone that's held up to a tv, ...but I HAVE to see clips!

I don't know what happened (there's not a different time or a change in the show in N. Carolina, is there?) but it definitely sounded like maybe the "Glory" clip from Nov. 13th...weird. But yeah, I really hope they get it up on the site. Was this morning's show live? I'm still confused about the pic in the article link I posted. That looks like the really hot Adam from 9 years ago, but he's in front of the Second Cup Cafe background.

GAH! I can't believe I missed another great Adam performance! I just checked the CBS site-- no clips yet, but I'll keep checking throughout the day!

It's early - keep checking. I was surfing there a bit ago, and they do have a lot of various video clips, so it's feasible.

I only signed up for this board so I could say this:

Adam definitely performed Glory, live, on CBS this morning. I watched it. It was not a clip. They cut to commercial half-way through, unfortunately (he only got to "time dies", but you could still hear his "glory"s as it cut to commercial), but he most certainly performed it, and very well I might add.

Why so few people saw this is beyond me. I can't imagine them airing this performance in Georgia and nowhere else.

Well, I only taped the parts he was on, but it was after they showed the clip of him as Roger; they cut to commercial, and brought him back. After it was the Chef on a Shoestring segment.

Oh my gosh! I knew when I heard it over the phone it was liive. They aired that live "Glory" in NC too. I guess it's all down in that area.

And when they brought him back, he was singing Glory? I'll have to see if I caught that on my tape. I may have dozed off during the commercial. Oh well. I've seen the "new" Glory three times in person. I'll live.

They talked to him slightly before hand. It went along the lines of

Lady : "And we're back now with Adam Pascal. And what are you going to do for us now?
(to a musician who had already begun playing) You were just a little bit ahead of the game! But you know, I like somebody who's a little more on time than a little bit late"
Adam : "It's early. How do you guys do this so early?"
Lady : "Oh, you get used to it. Are you guys up all night or do you actually just make this an early.."
Adam : "No, are you kidding? I've got two kids. I need sleep, whenever I can get it."
Lady : "Exactly, I understand the feeling. Alright, What are you going to sing now?"
Adam : "I'm going to sing a song from Rent. This is sort've my character's signature song, it's called Glory."

and then he sang.
