Chloe- the teens and twentysomething crowd decided we spent WAY too much time here, so we were all going to to away for a day and chill out since a break seemed to do me so much good. I wasn't on yesterday and I'm just getting off a long break, so I feel like chatting with people. So no detox time for me.

I've been spending a lot of time here and on the internet too. I rationalize it by telling myself that soon I'll be working 12 hours a day.

My detox will be involuntary.

It's been so long since I've seen or heard Hair, aside from the B'way.com clips. And I probably have never heard the complete Broadway version either, just the movie. This should be fun!

Chloe, go by the second digitally remastered CD of Hair NOW. It's FANTASTIC. I never get sick of it. I do not actually like the movie's versions of the songs, they can't hold a candle to the OBC.

I'm not sure... I think it would be an AMAZING trip, but it's a little expensive for me. Because I know I couldn't do it half-assed. It's not enough to just fly to NY and stay at a hotel or something. I need a Broadway show, museums, everything. That adds up!

I'm sure I'll get there eventually, though!

Nia, what's the "second digitally remastered" version - do you mean this is the second time it's been remastered?

Yeah, as I recall the movie wasn't terrible but...

Allie, probably your biggest expense would be the hotel, but I understand there are all kinds of deals to be had, packages and so forth. Museums aren't that much, especially for students, and there are the student theater tickets, lotteries, half-price booth.

I know what you mean about wanting to go first class all the way though - in a place like NY that certainly has its allure, but I don't think it's your only choice.

But you first mentioned moving, rather than visiting. When I moved here, I had a couple of sticks of furniture and about three months worth of rent in my bank account. It was tough but I somehow managed to find an apartment, get a job, etc. It's truly an incredible place.

Oh, living there would be great! I can't really see me moving away from the Maritimes though. I'm fairly attached to the Atlantic Ocean! But I'm only in my first year at university, so who knows?
