Thanks, GITF.
Can someone explain Adam's 'raspiness'? I don't think he sounds raspy on the Rent or Aida OBCRs, is he different in person?
I guess "raspy" is just the way people typically describe Adam's voice. I tend to say "growly," just 'cause it's sexier!
Exactly Emcee! Its not so much raspy as it is growly. But someone in a previous post today said raspiness so i continued with that. Its that unique quality in his voice that gives him his "rocker edge" if you will. It comes out the most in Like Father, Like Son. Hope that helps.

So does he rasp on the OBCR? I'm just wondering if this is a live thing or if I've heard it before.
Yes he does.

Ok then, it's nothing I don't love! I was just worried that he sounds bad live and the CD was really touched up. If he didn't sound as good as he does on disc, I would be rather unhappy.
He sounds so amazing live. Don't be afraid of that. He might crack here and there, but IMO he sounds better live!

Where else does he crack? I mean, it's ok, people do, but how often?
There was one infamous part in RENT. The scene before over the moon, the really high "mimi!" You know:
Mark: She said 'would you light my candle?' and she wanted you to take her out tonight?"
Roger: right.
Mark: she got you out.
Roger: she was more than okay, but I pushed her away, it was bad, I got mad... etc, etc.
He also cracked one other VERY subtle thing yesterday, but I can't remember what it was. It's not like he screws up a lot.

Damn it's hard to win a contest with a picture.
*stares at Adam picture instead*
That's easier, I never want to blink when looking at him.
I have some Adam love tonight: I'm going to his and Daphne's concert in October!! YAY!!
November 2nd is too far away for Civilian. It needs to come out sooner.
See you there, Diva!!
You're going to be there? Yay!!

I wish I could be there... but there are other ways... *cough*
Yup, I'm going. Lots of us are, actually!
A friend and I are also going! Can't wait! Any hope the CD will be on sale there, possibly?
~~~keeping fingers crossed~~~
The release date is like a month after the concert.
I know, but it's done. They'd be foolish to pass up such a marketing opportunity, just like they passed up selling it along with MP at the Palace.
If they release it early and only sell it at the concert, someone must buy and mail me a copy!!!
ETA- I will pay for this, of course.
