Hi Annie, hi anyone else who's up now..

I'm going to miss this afternoon's cam. I'm seeing a production of "Damn Yankees" at Arena Stage. I always loved this show - maybe as much for the fact that I was a BIG Washington Senators fan and I used to spend a lot of weekends at the ballpark having my heart broken. This play always made a lot of sense to me!

I have (sadly) recently lost my sense of humor. I'm desperately looking for it. Maybe I'll find it at that theatre? I hope so. Although as I said before, the last time I saw it Jerry Lewis was playing Applegate and he was incredible. I love Brad Oscar, but those are incredible shoes he has to fill. (Not to mention the poor kid who has to play Sohovic!)

Maybe I'll see you all here this evening.

oh julia, I really hope your friend is ok. He was an idiot to be drinking and driving. glad you weren't involved. Hope everything turns out alright. And dances do suck like that.

May I make a suggestion? Sometime after the new year, as soon as we can get an exact date from Greg, why don't we try to get tickets for his final performance? I know it's going to be difficult since it's coming in the summer, but I think it would be wonderful to have a little send off, thank you party for him.

I'll prob miss the whole thing. Driving to Connecticut to see The Full Monty and taking my sister to Dog Sees God at night. Ah well.

Haha Annie, no, I posted something really for one poster here in particular, then decided it's more appropriate to send a PM.

Sorry about your friend Julia, but I don't at all see the temptation of alcohol. Granted I'm crazy enough and hardly have inhibitions w/o it, still...there are plenty of ways to get over them and have fun w/o putting dangerous substances into your body that if nothing else make you act pretty stupid and sometimes feel sick.

Mamie, yaay for Damn Yankees! Let me know how it is! And you poor Senators fan...I actually had a different reaction to that show. Tell this story quite a bit but might as well again, the very first song of the show was about all the Senators fans hating the Yankees right? (I was 7 so I may not remember perfectly). now this was before even '96, the Yankees hadn't won a WS in forever, so they certainly weren't detested the way they are now, so I turned to my mom horrified and was like "Mommy...why do they all hate the Yankees??" If only I knew then...heh. Great show.

BTW. Cat - you asked for an anecdote yesterday.
today my english class I had to had a conversation about holiday with one of the guys (called John actually) and he was a quite rude while he played my boss who didn't let me go on holiday or whatever...and I had enough soon and said: don't be a freakin' scoundrel you jerk!

Eveling, my teacher laughed so hard and she gave me a compliment about how american was that sentence.

thank I had to explain 'freaking' 'scoundrel' and 'jerk' in English....whell that was a no can do.
