Wow. I just have to say that the show was amazing even to one who isn't already a Greg Jbara fan. And Kay missed a few things about *my* reactions:
1) The turntable use was fabulous. Greg pointed out that there's only one blackout in the entire show: *BONK* "I do that a lot." Every other scene change is done with the turntable. And I loved how they used it to let people move through scenes and stay in center stage...
2) I love how the show blurs the fourth wall every so often. John and Greg both request music from the director; Norbert shows up in the balcony while he's observing John do his stuff, and the "usherette" shows up in the orchestra pit during Joanne's "What Was a Woman to Do?" (I like Joanne's comment "Is there anybody else?" last night after the "J-13" line better than her "If you don't mind" comment on the soundtrack). The characters seem accutely aware that they're in a broadway musical, and their occasional interaction with the rest of the theater is quite amusing.
3) "Love is my legs" wasn't my least favorite song; it was just the one that sounded most out of place in the soundtrack. It's not that I didn't believe you, love; I just didn't have a frame of reference. Now, having seen it in its proper place in the show, it's hilarious.
4) Greg is probably the most personable actor I've ever met. He was so nice, and he even asked me why *I* wasn't pursuing acting as a career (I dodged with my usual "actors are notorious for being poor, so I do computers to keep food on my table" explanation). I think, though, I had just as much fun _after_ the show as I did during it. :)
5) Warning: if you're a loud laugher, don't see the show without a gag. I spent most of the second act with my hands over my mouth because I drove away the poor teenaged girl who was sitting right in front of me with my peals of laughter during Act I. I suspect I did permanant ear damage.
And that's all. I just wanted to put in my two cents; I'll turn the board back over to Kay now. "Hi!" to my beloved when she gets back online this evening!

that was a great review, thanks.
Oh, oh, well I am a loud laugher but after a couple of minutes my voice calm down and I have a noise like an old car that doesn't want to start. (my parent told me that).
Yeah, but he's married. And he's nowhere near as mushy as I am.
I have two sisters, though. :)
