Ryan has Joanne and I have Johnny. That's absolutely adorable.
Ah, 20-20 Hindsight...
S'alright, Mamie often refers to Kerrie as Kerry, then I always do a double check for John Kerry lurking around, although Kerrie does look like a man and loves to flip flop, quite suspicious hehe
oh that is mean mary. haha. but very funny.
wow, barb I thought it was cat that had found all the "joanne" quotes. she usually does. nice job finding them too.
ryan, sorry. it happens.
I'm so sad I missed Joanna's last cam.
I just listened to "What Was A Woman To Do?" and cried. I'm a sad sad soul tonight.
"She is the sunshine of my life."
ditto and raised to the highest degree.
I just looked at her highlights and now I'm crying again.
this is what ILoveWicked330 said on the "goodbye Joanna" thread:
"I was at the show today not knowing it was her last show. I did the lotto. The box seats were HORRIBLE. I had the 1st box on the right but the back 2 seats & I literally couldn't see anything. At intermission I moved to empty seats in the 2nd row center of the orchestra! At curtain call, the producer came out and made a short speech about how she created the role and how it was built around her. Then they gave her a poster that said "Goodbye Joanna! There will never be another con like you". Then Greg made a speech about how she is an amazing person on and off stage and he would always look forward to coming to work just to see her. She was crying. I waited at the stage door for alittle after. Norbert came out, signed for afew people and ran. I'm 99% sure Joannas' limo was there and was told to go to another exit because the stage door guy said to the driver "Rachel? Rachel Yorks driver? No? Joanna?" & then went and spoke to him and the car drove away. Not like it matters or anything but yeah. Great time- 2nd time seeing the show and it was still going strong."
I wonder if she liked my sparkly message I wrote her.
She was cryyyyyyyying.
*sob*
any requests? for radio show?
...I think the box seats are amazing.
not the front ones on the right though. unless you more the seats so that they are like a cirlce around the edge of the box.
"What Was A Woman To Do?" so we can all take off our hats, stand on guard, and have a momentof Gleason.

I love you Barb.
Yeah, it was pretty bad. I even sidestepped a question Ryan asked me about Joanna that I really didn't wanna answer at least at the time, so I honestly said that I know nothing about that and Joanne.
Sounds like a great show, I had a feeling Greg would make a speech; I bet it was awesome. I want more comments/details! I can imagine how adorable Like Zis/Like Zat was tonight.
But it was a great night for Wicked--I was having an emotional weekend so the themes in the show were great. Derrick is still without a doubt my favorite non-Norbert Fiyero. The only one since that made me buy both sides of his character, liking Elphaba and Glinda, etc. Megan, who I haven't seen in months, has only gotten better, really putting her own stamp on the part. She was just fantastic. And Carol Kane...plays the part like Rue but obviously is a big improvement. Still, I don't understand why the producers want it more "drunken"ly play. I loved the way Carol Shelley played it. God, no one will ever replace her.
And Eden...I mean if I say I like other Elphabas better, it's not to say I didn't really like her just if you're directly comparing. She kept singing defying "grevity" and it was a pretty voice but it was really annoying me! Her Wizard and I was definitely better than Shoshana's, who I remember being weaker, but Sho's No Good Deed was better. What I will say for Eden is I think she had the best balance of innocence, strength, and anger of any Elphaba since Idina. Shoshana seemed a bit more innocent, and Saycon definitely angrier. Eden handled both well, surprisingly, I would have thought she would have been more on the innocent side too, great laugh.
If anyone cares, I decided to rank my Elphabas because I have too much freetime:
Idina, Stephanie Block(I loved her!), Shoshana/Saycon(tie), Eden
And as I walked out I saw someone who might have been Geena Davis...I figured not, until she turned to the side and I saw the mole..it had to be have been her
I think the box seats are great too. To each their own I suppose.
Regarding Joanna's last show, Laura mused on Friday that even when she (Laura) is gone, there will be new people to make friends with. To that I said, you can never forget the people who made everything so special in the first place. So therefore, we must never forget Joanna and John.
