That's not happy Elphie.
Do I listen? I wanted it to all be fresh for the movie so I could see the sound and images together - experience this new experience (for lack of a better word) for the first time as a whole instead of piecing bits together until I have the whole thing, which I don't want to be anticlimactic after all that we've already seen. I'm sure I can't even imagine the final product but still...but the temptation is already getting to me and it's only day 1. No, I will stay strong.
I thought about waiting that long, Alix. But then I figured that I wanted to be used to the changes that might throw me so I could focus on the big picture rather than on the tiny nitpicky things when I finally saw the movie.
maybe listen to it like...once...that way it's not crazy different and wierd (cause i know i hate that...that's why i never listen to cast recordings of shows that i haven't seen that are still on bway) but it's not like burned into your brain by the time you see it...sense? does it make it? maybe.
That's an interesting point. Although I do want it to be new, I also don't want to get caught up on little details and miss other things, even though I know I'll be going more then once. I'll have to think about it some more.
I want to say they looked at him for Angel and Mark. Back when Spike Lee was still attached. And I think Euan Morton's name actually was tossed around, but chronologically, that makes no sense. He talked about it in the Chatterbox interview -- I'll have to watch it and see. I am, though, really curious for Find Me Guilty if only to see how he is on camera.
Thanks for the encouragement! I feel like I'm staying off a drug or something.
Raul + Rent - I wouldn't know what to do with myself!
Just wait. ttB only gets better. That has to be my favorite off-broadway show. Ever. Bummed I only saw it once, I didn't live in the city yet. And Molly Ringwald scared me a little. Oh well...
ahhh! i'm so jealous. i've yet to discover the wonder that is ttb...maybe after i get my next paycheck...cause i'm spending more money this weekend @ chitty...again!!! (seriously, i need to go to chitty rehab or something...this is a serious addiction problem!!)

Raul on the big screen... Oh happy day! I don't know what I'm gonna do if his scene is cut from the movie.
And as for ttB, how can you not love that musical?! I know it's been thrown around before, but maybe they could make THAT into a movie. (With Raul of course!)
Oh...ttB the movie. That would be the highlight of my life. Raul playing Jonathon on the big screen. Heaven on celluloid.
I vaguely remember him saying he'd like to see that happen.

He did!
And I'm gonna hope and pray it happens.
He'll probably be like "meh, I'm too old."
Whee, I just changed the desktop on my computer to a picture of he and I. It's the one where he's in the NAVY t-shirt -- the Chitty logo is behind us. And it's just a friendly picture.
