Hi girls! I'm back. (My flight was delayed THREE HOURS!)
Anyway, yesterday was THE BEST day of my life! I seriously don't even think I will be able to put it into words for you guys.
I called the stage manager Wednesday morning to see if Raúl would be in the show that day. YES! HE WAS! I'm sure you all know how excited that made me. So I went to the stage door before the show to try and meet him again. I eventually saw him srolling up the street with a smile on his face and I froze. I was screaming at myself on the inside to talk to him. So I finally blurted out "Raúl?" and he turned to me and did a double take, recognized me, and then said "HI!" with a huge smile on his face. We had the sweetest conversation. He is just SO NICE. Nicer than I remembered. We talked about Chitty and Taboo and just everything. I apologized for stopping him before the show and he laughed and said "Don't be absurd!". Haha. Oh! We got a picture, as well. He is making the most seductive face in it. I'll post it in a little while once I upload it.
Anyway, I saw both shows yesterday from the front row and Raúl totally made my life complete. He totally played the shows to me. I mean, I think I was the only one with a pulse in that theatre. But he would keep winking and smiling and making faces at me. I was in heaven, let me tell you! During "Posh" he walked out on that ledge and stood right in front of me and smiled at me for about ten seconds then pointed like "You're not my horn".
And he was in THE BEST mood. I've never laughed so hard. Even though I was the only one in the theatre laughing at his randomness. Haha. But every line he added something new. It was the best!
Okay, I'll stop rambling now. It was just one of the best days I've had in a really long time!
Oh, one more thing. After the evening performance he didn't sign but he came out of the front to get into his SUV and it was locked. I happened to look over just in time to see him put on a huge pout and start clawing at the door until his driver unlocked it. Too funny.
I'm really done now. I promise!

YAY FOR YOU!! i'm so glad it was awesome...and that he was IN the shows!! you're a lucky, lucky girl, and i'm a jealous little monster. hehe.

Oh, and I can't wait to see this seductive picture!

I cut myself out of the picture because I looked weird. So if you really want to know what I look like then go to my fan photos.
I like the face he's making!
He was just SO sweet! It means a lot to me that he spent that time talking with me.
Grrr, baby. Very grrrrrr.
what a fabulous picture. was he making that face on purpose? grrr indeed, ang!! hehe.

Wow. And I mean WOW! Grrrr, indeed!
Sometimes I feel like the only shirts this man owns are striped, long sleeved button down shirts!
He rocks that iPod. I wonder what he's listening to?

Haha I have no idea. It was funny because we had just been cracking up but he was somehow able to change his expression really fast for the picture and then start laughing again afterwards.

LOL! That's one of the reasons he's the greatest actor.
And I've wondered that, too Ang! I've always meant to ask him what his favorite song on the iPod was. But I can hardly remember my own name when I see him!
Write notecards with everything you want to say, then read them to him. If you freeze up just throw the cards at him. Fail-proof. Ok, really is bedtime now.
well, if he comes out on saturday night i'll try to remember to ask him! i too have a terrible memory problem when it comes to our dear mr. esparza.

LOL! Yeah, the sad thing is, I've actually thought about that! (Especially after the movie Love Actually made it look so romantic.)
I'm just afraid he would be a smart ass and start signing words to me using the ASL alphabet! He's probably think I was deaf or something.

I definitely froze up at first. I almost let him walk by without saying anything.
I'm really glad I did, though. We had the most amazing conversation and he couldn't have been more charming.

Oh, I have a question for ya! Did he shave the stubble off before the show, or was he stubble-y Cactus Potts on Wednesday?

Just one more observation before I go to sleep...
It looks as though he has a carton of cigarettes in his shirt pocket. Grrrr! (And not in a good way...)
Broadway Legend Joined: 7/28/05
Nah. He shaved. Boo.
He had some weird pizza/nacho/cheesy/dip thing in a box with him. Too bad it was cut out of the picture. It was so weird looking.

boo for the cigarettes!! how are we ever going to break him of that habit!! stubbly or clean-shaven, i believe the word "sexalicious" is more than appropriate here. Raúl love! (<

LOL! How f*ckin funny would it be if one day he just wasn't in the mood and went on stage as like "trailer trash" Caractacus Potts. With a five o clock shadow, a box of pizza/nacho/cheesy/dip thing, a carton of cigarettes, and a six pack of Budweiser.
It ain't gonna happen. And if it did, he'd get a pink slip quicker that you can say "Raul Esparza". But, it would be funny....

I think I would pay to see that!
He also had a black trash bag with him. I'm not really sure why. His hands were so full that he had to ask me to take the cap off while he was holding the pen. Heh. I felt like such a bother, but he made me feel totally comfortable.

I bet you anything he had books in that bag.
Every time I see him he's got a different book in his hands.
