Yea!! I'm too excited for my own good.

Keep us posted, Em. I worry.

Have fun and report back, Kook.

I wonder if the stress thing applies to my thumb and her chest, too. The mother is convinced that it's related to the amount of time that I spend on the computer, but I don't use my left thumb at all when typing.

Gav, I LOVE that Cole Porter song!

And Em, I really hope you feel better!

*looks at pics from B'way Barks and laughs about yet another striped shirt* Raul, I love you. I'm so glad I was in Atlanta during that event. I've always wanted a dog, and seeing Raul with that black fluffy pookie dookie would have been too much for my soul to handle. Really.

And again, have a great time tonight ladies! I'm so tempted to join you, its not even funny!

No, but I'm going on my 48th hour of constant coughing.

This is nothing like a sore thumb. I do, however, know someone who tore a ligament between her thumb and forefinger when she was doing too much typing -- she had a computer-based job, though.

Interesting, kook, that it could be stress. That's feasible right now. I just feel really, really, really sick. This all hasn't been this bad in years.

Safe travels, kook.

Thank you for discounting me, Em. I was convinced a few years ago that my chest pains were heart problems, but they turned out to be from growing.

Feel better, Em! If it gets worse you might want to get it checked out. It's probably nothing, but it's always good to know for sure.

It's definitely not from growing. Too bad, though. I could use a few inches.

And seriously, I hope your thumb is okay. The person I knew who had the problem who had to get surgery, so I don't wish that on anybody. Coughing up your lungs, however, is still nothing like a sore thumb.

I don't really have time to go to the doctor, so I guess I'll just ride it out. It'll get better.

I'm seeing the doctor in a couple weeks for something else, so I'll ask then.

I haven't been coughing, but I did feel mortally ill this morning. Cramps woke me up at six thirty. I was nearly crying and standing made me lightheaded, cold and sweaty. I took something that didn't help, then tried to take something that would. That only made me dry-heave...

Actually, I bet nobody wanted to hear that.

Be careful. That's happened to me. I'd wake up in the middle of the night crying because it hurt so much. Then someone told me a story about when cramps made her pass out in the bathroom, so I got back into bed for the rest of the day. I figured that if I was already lying down, passing out wouldn't be so bad.

I feel like I'm going throw up because my throat's been dripping, etc. You know, while we're sharing gross details.

Good idea. Lying down made them worse, but I did stay in bed. They sort of came in waves- light pain, bad, want-to-cry-bad. The heating pad, iPod therapy and Pamprin helped. I know you don't swallow pills, but you need to try this stuff (unless you're allergic, in which case you need to find a soy counterpart. Can your doctor perscribe any painkiller?). Maybe you could crush it up in applesauce. It really does work.

Throat drips are so annoying.

Right now I'm just really tired.

Heating pads work wonders for cramps. (Oh, and tea. Nothing too strong, but tea.) I bought those ThermaCare things a while ago when I got really sick, because then I wasn't bed-ridden and I could actually go on with my life without having to be plugged into a wall.

I'm allergic to a lot of drugs in pill form, because they use lactose to sweeten them, but I might look into it because I'm sick of this taking over my life, and I'd rather not be required to have my uterus removed. My doctor said to take some form of IB Profen (sp?) as soon as you feel the first pains, and that the drug will stop the contractions, which is what causes the pain. So far, I've found that not to work. Maybe I don't catch it in time.

Sleeeeeep. I can't sleep for more than an hour or so at a time because I wake up coughing. I'm seriously considering the NyQuil route, because I have exams coming up. And if I do poorly, my mother will hurt me. Hell, I'll hurt me.

Nyquil works but it tastes SO nasty!

I don't swallow pills, so I'm used to most medicine tasting really bad. heh.

Oh really? Well you are lucky. I have to take three horse pills a day for the rest of my life. I dread it every single day.

I hope you find something that helps you feel better, though!

I'm awful at swallowing them, and they scare me... aside from the fact that I'm allergic to a lot of them. So I take like... double-doses of liquids and chewables.

On my way to Chitty now. I dressed up to the nines. Not on the off-chance Raul will spot me, but....oh, who am I kidding?

Feel better. Cramps suck, actually all forms of illness/pain suck! Think happy Raul thoughts and I'll post back later with how the show is.

Aw yay! Dressing up is fun! Though, I'm much more of a casual person.

I hope you get to see him! Have fun and I can't wait to hear all about it!

To backtrack a bit... That's what I do. I take two ibuprofen even before I feel any cramps, and then take a couple more 8 hours or whatever after that. After the first day, I'm usually fine.

Awww, my sister's boyfriend is so great. They were here visiting again. He called his roommates, and before he hung up, he was like, "Love you, Henderson!" How cute is that?
