Speaking of annoying kids at the stage door - when I saw there last week there was a very annoying little girl who kept yelling at him and tugging on his shirt asking "Where is Truly? Is that her real name? Is she coming out? When is she coming out? Is that her? Where is Truly?"
Even I was getting annoyed and she wasn't even talking to me. Granted, I don't have much patience anyway. But he was sweet with her. He answered all of her questions over and over. "Her name is Erin Dilly. Erin Dilly. Erin Dilly. That's not her. I don't know. Her name is Erin Dilly." and put on this really sad face and said "I don't know where Truly went". Anyway, I thought that was nice of him. If it had been me I probably would have ignored her.

The image of some child clinging at his heels and tugging his shirt is strangely, adorably funny. I can't relate to children on the proper level at ALL, so I give full props to anybody who can. Raúl seems like he's taken nicely to them, though. It's cute.
i feel bad i have yet to visit this thread.
that's so sweet. kids are so much fun and they say the funniest things.

It was cute for the first few minutes haha. Oh, but the best part was when Kevin Cahoon signed her shirt. He asked how to spell her name and it was something like Shaakyta and Raul made a face then said "That's beautiful".
Wow. I have spent way too much time on this thread talking about this man. I just can't tear myself away.
ADDICTING.
Oh boy. What sort of face?
Kevin Cahoon is one of THE nicest people on earth.
*feeds addiction* (and insomnia)
In general, I love it when more than one actor is out at a time. Having a few of them around makes it easier for me, because they'll often interact with each other, and then just sort of pull you in. Pure one-on-one makes me really nervous.
it's fun to see them talking to each other and being comfortable with their friends.

It started out as shock then it looked like he caught himself and tried to smile. I found it amusing!
Agreed. Kevin is amazing. I love his music, too!
I have a huge diet coke next to me. I could be here all night. I'll try to spare you, though.
heheh. I can picture that. The "ohhhh God" sort of look. I usually wait way off to the side/end of the line, so I rarely catch amusing antics. I'm tiny, and am just not a fan of getting smushed in crowds of people all tossing things at actors. Being able to pace in circles or chat with my friends in some far-off place keeps my nerves away, too.
I'd give soo much to hear Kevin's rock-star covers of Chitty Chitty Bang Bang and Truly Scrumptious. GAH.

I think you are smart to wait off to the side. I should try that next time. Too many kids around me just doesn't always make for a happy Stefanie.
Oh wow. I'd love to hear those, as well. How creative!
Kevin and Raul (Ah laptop = no accent) must be good friends. After the show last Friday they stayed out and talked with eachother for the longest time and hugged before parting. So sweet!
I envy him. Haha. I'd love to be able to have a deep conversation with Raul and pick his brain!
They've got history, too - I'm pretty sure they did Rocky Horror together, didn't they?
I'd love to pick his brain. Unfortunately, given the fact that nothing intelligible ever leaves MY mouth, I can't really get conversation going. (Maybe if I looked stunned enough, I'll score a hug. Wishful? I think so.) But seriously, to be able to talk to him about theatre, or politics, or... gah, anything.

Ooh yes! That's right. Makes sense.
I'm the same way, I can never think of the right things to say. I was dying to ask Raul his opinion on The Pillowman since I had just seen it a few nights before seeing him at the stage door. But I thought he might think I was weird if I just brought it up. So we talked about my sharpie instead. Shesh.
Oh, I want a hug!

heh. The Pillowman... versus a Sharpie. If you can catch him when he's not swamped by sleeve-tugging children, he'd probably glady talk to you about it. And then he'd sound so smart that your head would spin clear off of your neck, but he'd definitely talk to you about it!
Niiiiiiice avatar. Very nice indeed.

Yay! More cupcake pictures.
<--- New avatar. I'm going to be changing it very often, though, because I have so many (thanks, Emcee!) that I can't decide. I wish the dancing one worked....
AHHH! My cds FINALLY came!!! "Pertrified" is definitely going to become one of my all-time favorite songs. I've listened to it at least 10 times so far. It's just...gorgeous, and Raul sounds gorgeous. I need to listen to the rest of the cd more in-depth, but I really like it so far. I love "HAIR" too. Me=happy person.
You guys have made me decide to write to him! I just need to find the time. *searches*
Oh, and just to clarify, greatdct and Stefanie2 are the same person, right?
God, he's so cute.
The beard is starting to grow on me. I used to not like it as much, but now I like it.
I really want a cupcake now. He makes it look yummy.
The beard added to the "cuddle me" factor.
Wow, that's really true. I like how YOUNG he looks with a beard, which is sort of counter-intuitive, but he does.
Seriously. Don't you just want to hug your avatar?
Ha, now that you mention it, I do. I would also like to MEET my avatar, but that's another story. I love the way he is smiling in that pic.

I sure want to hug mine!
Yes! I have two names. Gmail hates me and often doesn't let me log in on my laptop.
Gmail just sounds like more complexity than it's actually worth.
I want to hug your avatar as well! I love it when he laughs!

My personal fav!
Yeah, Gmail isn't all it's cracked up to be. That's for sure.
oh, how CUTE is that?!
That looks like a Broadway Under the Stars picture, but where'd you get it?
He looks like he's.... trying to fly? heh. Either that or find someone to give him a big bear hug.
