I have a question!
What do you think a big group of 7th and 8th graders would see? I mean, I know Spelling Bee is probably one of em'...but examples of what my teacher's Drama students have seen would be Kiss Me Kate and The Fantasticks.
Maybe...Chitty?

14 or 15 year olds? Hmm...tough age group to please, but Chitty would be easier to get tickets to than Wicked, Spelling Bee, etc.
Raul's hair...what a love/hate relationship I have with it. I love it long, but not mullet-esque, and I'm bothered by it too short (no curl), but then his eyes do pop out at you...I just don't know...

gooey! haha. what a wierd word. lol. I love Raúl's hair...no matter what the style, he wears it so well...except the mullet...not so much there. I think I liked it best in the ATW vid...a little long and floppish, but not mullet-y so.
sigh...i'm on duty...AGAIN. i feel like i'm always on duty. and that makes me sad, but then i look at Raúl and the puppy, and I feel better! hehe.
Gav- I say Chitty! When would you be in the city, do you have any idea? I think Spelling Bee tickets are hard to come by, and it's also a littttttle bit inappropriate...not that I don't think you guys can't handle it, but the parents might not be too too thrilled...maybe Phantom? Go for a classic?
12-14...I feel old. And I'm not even 20 yet. Blah...
I hope you see whatever you want to see (and I hope that whatever you want to see is Chitty)

kook-Probably at the end of this year OR the beginning of next year. I don't think Spelling Bee is THAT inappropriate. I mean, there a few things that may be a bit raunchy...but I think we could probably see it.
Hm. Phantom sounds good.
Sweet Charity (which I'm not thrilled to see), maybe? I mean, it's a classic sort of thing.
It all depends on what my teacher says. I'll try to convince her take the group to DRS, however.
Personally, I thought DRS was raunchier than Spelling Bee, but I could just be crazy. I enjoyed both shows though.

I wasn't really a big fan of Spelling Bee. It was fine. The cast was great.
DRS is fantastic!
I think Chitty would be a good choice. Although, a school in my area went to NYC and half of the students saw Wicked, the other half saw Chitty. And the half that saw Chitty were pretty pissed off. So... who knows?

well i don't think spelling bee is -that- raunchy...but i'm thinking mostly of chip's song (i don't want to ruin for anyone that doesn't know.) i think that the kids could handle it, but i know some parents flip out about stuff like that. that's all i'm sayin.
i'd even suggest Fiddler. by no means my favorite show, but i think it's something that everyone who likes theatre should see at least once. if you go later in Jan, you could try for the Pajama Game too.

Kook - you are not allowed to post anymore using that avatar. It makes me stare at it for minutes every time. It's far too cute for it's own good. Oh, who am I kidding? I have nothing better I'd want to do than stare at that puppy/kitten combo for hours on end. And I have officially cracked.
