Haha. I guess it's going to happen the first time I see him. So... whenever he decideds to come out of the stage door. I have a feeling it's going to happen on the 29th (Sat.) or 30th (Sun.) probably. Unless he comes out to sign on a Thursday or something.
Clap for him and he shall appear!

I will! I will clap like crazy. Even if I do get more weird looks from the people sitting next to me.
Whatever. You'll never see them again.
I want to put this to a legitimate test. We can all clap and then stage door and see what happens on different days.
hey don't worry about the clapping, G - don't forget (as Ang can tell you) I have no shame when it comes to entrance applause (or 1-woman standing ovations, as it turns out!) haha.

I think it really does work, Em. Hee! We're on to his secret!
Kook, you make me laugh! But that's great that you have no shame!
Wait, you two are rushing when? 29th? I might invite myself.
Oh, Kook. You are my hero!! She is shameless and brave unlike anything I have ever seen. One day, I will start my own one-person standing ovation.
Ok, back to work. I still have one class left. Blah...

Yes the 29th! The evening performance.
Psh, Em! You've already been invited!
Do I smell a Chitty party?
You should come, ang. And Britt, too, maybe. Then we can bring our POLES.
God, imagine if he did come out, two of us with our poles, and the g wanting to have a serious talk with him.
*cracks up* Maybe not the right night!

I think we might scare him away. Haha. Kidding.
Well, bring your poles! Who knows - maybe I'll catch him before Saturday and have the talk. Then the mood doesn't have to be so serious and nervous.

I think it would just confuse him! I'm always slightly giddy, so I don't think he thinks I have the capacity to be serious. Unless he remembers the first time we met... which, I don't know. I guess he *could* but I don't expect him to.
i think it would be so much fun if a bunch of us went together!! yeahhhh! power in numbers man!
It would certainly increase our chances of seeing him after -- five people start applause with much more ease than one!

Aww. He probably does remember. That's probably why he's always so sweet to you, because he's seen that you are always there to support the event and shows that he does.
As for me - I'm not even 100% positive that he remembers my name. I think he might? I don't know. But he does know my face, which is amazing enough.

guys, i'm so glad that instead of studying for the midterm i have in 2 hours, i'm straightening my hair and living in this thread.
CHITTY!!! weeee. I can't wait.
I guess I'm doubtful because of the time lapse. I saw The Normal Heart, then I saw him again like a week or two later. Then months went by. I guess he might. You can tell that he remembers faces -- I don't think he remembers my name, but whatever. I want to test that theory on Adam, but his brain is probably elsewhere. He *definitely* knows my face, which considering that any day now, he could be a huge star, I'm gonna take.

It's so nice to be recognized by the people we admire. Because we spend so much time learning about them and being inspired by them. It's nice to know that they know we exist!
Exactly. A lot of times my mom tries to get on my case, being like "it's such a waste -- do they care that you exist?" And I guess the answer is that sometimes, yeah, they actually do.

I think that some of them definitely do. And it's crazy that something as tiny as being recognized can mean so much. And I honestly don't think that they know how much it means to us.
I think some of them do.
But even in a situation where I think I know someone is fully aware of how much this... relationshipish thing means to me, I always feel like I need to say it. I have no idea what I'm trying to say. heh.

I think I get exactly what you are trying to say. And I agree. It makes sense!
hey everyone!!! my first exam was cancelled!!! *celebratory dance party*
and I totally agree with what you guys are saying...i think maybe i overconfirm my "relationships" as it were, because i know (or i think i know) that i would want people to do the same for me. and i don't mean just praising talent (which i don't think you guys were really talking about either) but to know that you've touched someone's life in a serious and meaningful way? wow. and you never know how much your words can affect someone...maybe it won't (what a depressing thought...and one i don't think applies here) but maybe, one day in the future, said person will be having a horrible day, and may stumble across a fan picture, or a gushy fangirl letter that talks about how much they've touched a life...and it might just make thier day.
