Weird.

I have no idea how to solve those sorts of little annoying problems. I'm just sort of like "er, okay, whatever you want, computer."

I know! And when in doubt... give it a restart. But I may try getting rid of Mozilla and downloading it again. Or maybe it just needs to be updated!

Restarting usually helps. Unless you were like me, and had a computer that you couldn't turn off for fear of never seeing it go on again.

*pets computer nicely* but we're done with that now. *nod*

Wait, why'd they take away those programs? They keep telling me I have "corruptions" on my system when I call IBM, so I keep reformatting. My parents want me to send the computer away to be checked out over Christmas break -- but what did they do to yours, do you know?

they replaced the harddrive. when they did that i lost those two programs that had come with my computer. it was a HUUUUUUUUGE fight with lenovo...my mom (a scary scary ibm exec) had to make some phone calls...they were kissing my ass in no time. so they sent me out another installation disc.

Oh, I have an installation disk for office. But what was the problem that caused you to need a new HD? I think that might be my ultimate solution, so I'm kind of curious.

*pets mac and safari*

I definately did that the first time I got Hair.

I listened to that song over and over, until I new what every word he was singing was! I just wish they could have recorded it live. His performance was even better that night.

My next computer is going to be a Mac. I don't like them now because they're different and I hate change, but they're immune to all of this PC... crap.

i'm not sure exactly what happened. i downloaded something from my school's website, and when i restarted my computer it just froze. like it wouldn't load all the way, and nothing would open. so i called ibm and then had me reset factory settings. then the next time i restarted (a week later) it happened again. so i called ibm again and explained what happened, so they took it back to look at it, and just replaced the harddrive since it's still under warranty. i'm not really computer saavy. but i haven't had any problems since i got it back a couple weeks ago, so hopefully the problem has been solved.

IBM really likes to tell you to reset to factory settings. This is the third f*cking time I've done it in two months. I mean, I understand that it solves almost all problems, but it's like... their solution to everything. "Oh, I don't really know... you're gunna need to reformaaaaaat."

i know they have me do it every time. it's obnoxious. and i have the worst luck with computers....it's sick. i really hate ibm computers, but my mother would kill me if i ever got anything else (although my younger brother -had- to get a dell for school.) but once my mother retires...hello mac city!

heh. My dad works for IBM, so he thought I should get an IBM laptop. He didn't care that much one way or the other, but he did think it was a good idea -- I mean, they *are* good computers. They just apparently don't like me. I have Dell desktops at home, and I loathe them. They're like dinosaurs.

it's so funny, because all the business and education majors here "rent" IBM computers from the school...so whenever anyone sees me with it they automatically assume...and i'm like no, i just have one. no way, your dad works for IBM too? I feel like EVERYONE'S parents work for IBM!! they're eeeeeeverywhere!

Well, that's because IBM like... bought the universe. He worked with some other company that IBM bought, so now he "works for IBM."

I'm restoring my hard drive right now with the DVD's I burned, and I'm so petrified that something may have gone wrong. I hope I'm just being paranoid.

Sorry to hear about the computer problems ladies. I had a great night (nice to finally meet you, Chrys!). Hope things work out ok, since my computer can be fussy too.

Sweeney was amazing. Brilliant. Even my mom liked it and that's a miracle. The only show I've taken her to that she liked (and I take her to everything) was Cabaret. With Adam. So...not gonna go there for fear of being slapped.

The Chit. Now that's a good one. "Come see The Spicer in The Chit!!"
