Raul cut out of my picture from last night. See? He looks stoned. I forgive him; he was probably tired of the pictures already.

Plus, I still have these mental images in my head of him giggling over Boysenberry jam. Those are fun!

I don't think he could NOT look cute. Besides, there's nothing not cute about sleepiness.

Hi Emcee!

And, Glebby, I know you wouldn't mean anything vulgar. It just made me giggle...

See, but we're talking about Raul. Even looking stoned has cuteness.

Aww, poor baby. He does look tired, maybe that's it.

I know I keep saying it, but I've really got to see Chitty soon....

Belting my brains out for that long would make me tired, too!

Yeah, he looks more sleepy than stoned. I have much experience interacting with people of both conditions and he's standing too upright to be stoned.

And I got the job a complex fellow

haha, he IS standing very upright. Maybe he wanted to be "tall." Or "butch." (I'm such a bad person.)

Congrats!

Chrys, see it! {coughwithmecough}

And congrats about the job. I need one now, anybody looking for a college gal with no experience in anything other than 6 years of cooking and serving food to people on vacation in Jersey? My prospects don't look too bright...oh who am I kidding, what prospects?

Okay, still lurking/cameoing but this was brought up in another thread and I wanted to see what your guys thoughts would be on it, I never thought of it, but...hmmm would be interesting.

Raul as Sweeney Todd...thoughts?

Thank you all. Now that I'm a working woman, I unfortunately won't be able to enjoy the leisure life of attending Broadway shows as often as I would like...Who am I kidding, I got the job to fund all my trips back and forth to NYC!

angelic, I was like that for a year and a half. But yay for work study.

Raúl as Sweeny- eh. Never seen the show, only heard the music, so I couldn't really picture it.

Raúl as Sweeney...hasn't he said that's a role he'd like to try? I think he'd be amazing..but I think he'd be amazing in pretty much ANY role. If he can win me over as Caractacus he can win me over as a razor wielding murderer!

ps - got my picture back today guys!!! hopefully i'll have a scan of it up soon...he wrote "For Meredith, Don't we look good! All the best, Raúl E. Esparza." weeeeee!

I don't know if he's quite age appropriate, how old is Sweeney supposed to be? Hmm...

But he sure does have that edgy, mystery about him. Not to mention being able to put those "crazy eyes" to good use. And a meatier role. Oh Chitty....

He and Michael are about the same age, aren't they?

heh. Crazy eyes. They sort of look like one day, he'll be doing that and they'll just pop out of their sockets.

Eww. Thanks for the visual.

ETA: Oh, and I think Michael is 10 years older.

Yep, he is. IBDB says he was born in 1960. He certainly doesn't look it!

I think that we should take a moment to devote discussion to the low notes that Raul began his song with last night. I enjoyed them.
