"The Painted Veil"

I just watched this movie for the first time and really enjoyed it. I thought the cinematography and art direction were absolutely brilliant as were Watts and Norton's performances. The material is good but it is so beautifully acted and shot that it elevates the material. Anyone else agree/disagree?

Really? I couldn't get past how awful Norton's "accent" was in the trailer. Sounded like an SNL attempt at British.

I thought that it was beautiful looking, and well made but kind of boreing

I love the story, and I adore this film version. Naomi Watts is sublime. Edward Norton was miscast, as he usually is.

Edward Norton is one of my favorite actors, but I agree with munkustrap. He was definitely miscast in this one.
