Come on people. Is there no love fro Pamelyn? Is there no appreciation for the body of work this girl has amassed? What about all those great, classic roles...Edna Unger, Lucy Van Pelt, Lucy the blind girl on Lassie, Lucy in an episode of The Brady Bunch.

Oh, I love her. And a couple years ago saw her on some news report having to do with some sort of animal rescue league and it didn't say under her name "Pam Ferdin, Played Several Adolescent Girls on TV Programs Throughout FindingNamo's Childhood and Puberty." It didn't need it to say it. I recognized her right away. She was everywhere when I was a kid.

One of the myriad voices of Lucy van Pelt on the Charlie Brown specials. The blind girl on the syndicated Lassie who gets her sight restored via an operation (and Lassie is the first thing she ever sees!).

Oh, I loves me some Pam, all right.

Don't forget the voice of Fern in the animated CHARLOTTE'S WEB movie, plus she was on a Saturday morning show called "The Curiosity Shop".

Personally, I couldn't stand her. Her voice was incredibly annoying (which was perfect for Lucy) and every time she spoke, I just wanted to slug her!

Ah yes, I can never forget her stirring song on Old Curiosity Shop, called "I'm Just in Between..."

"Too old for toys, too young for boys..."

What's funny about Pam's constricted speaking voice is how in vogue it is now among young women, just listen carefully to groups of teens and 20-somethings on city streets and in advertising. They're KILLING their vocal chords.

Holy SH*T!

Edna Unger did time!!!

From imdb:

On January 11, 2000, Pamelyn, a vigorous animal activist, faced up to six months in jail after being found guilty of carrying an elephant "bullhook" at an August 1999 protest of circus training methods. A bullhook is a wooden rod with a sharp hook that is jabbed into sensitive areas of the elephant to keep it fearful and manageable. She received 30 days.

It was the Big Apple Circus, wasn't it? I LOVE those protesters!!!

God in heaven, I'm not the only person who remembers this chick!! Loved her when we were kids, but she's crazy now. Loony as a toon.

Which girl did she play in the movie of The Music Man?

She should have an Emmy for her role in Family Affair as the little girl (probably named Lucy) who finds Mrs. Beasley after Mr French "accidentally" tosses her off the balcony. I know that vicious old queen did it intentionally.

I loved her until the remake of A TREE GROWS IN BROOKLYN. She was so miscast. But she was a great brat and probably the best of the Lucy voices. Thanks for the memories, Orion.

I say probably because I stopped watching the newer specials because they became so bad. So in all fairness, I have not heard all the Lucy voices.

I haven't seen them either. But she is still the definitive Lucy voice.
