Bwahahahah!

To think that I used to think Kirk Cameron was cute. Actually, I never really did.

I forgot about that one. And the Omega Code. WTF was Michael York thinking? Those low-budget Christian movies are always good for a laugh. Makes you wish MST was back.

Yes, Rath, I did. The best part of that film, though, is that it is camp that doesn't know it is camp.

It really is a new form.

Oh, TouchMe.....you really DID touch me!

"Impossible is just a big word thrown around by small men who find it easier to live in the world they've been given than to explore the power they have to change it. Impossible is not a fact. It's an opinion. Impossible is not a declaration. It's a dare. Impossible is potential. Impossible is temporary. Impossible is nothing.” ~ Muhammad Ali

well left behind is an adaptation of a christian book, so obviously it will be preachy. nothing really comes to mind for me though.

wow. so many films so few reams of paper and moments in the day. rather than rat out a cheesey, awful film, i will mention a good film that i actually was interested in until it took a distressingly preachy turn.
SCHOOL DAZE by spike lee -- i saw this film in the theater when it first came out and i was excited to see it. i LOVE giancarlo esposito and i always find spike lee films messy but definitely worthwhile. i think this was his first effort after SHE'S GOTTA HAVE IT. i was completely taken with the story and the occasional musical number was fun (i am used to bollywood films that turn into music videos and back into epic dramas with no provocation whatsoever) **SPOILERS** just as we are deeply inside the conflicts,ie: the big brother all--mighty making his girlfriend (the fabulous tisha campbell--she cannot be praised enough in my book) sleep with the other frat brothers, etc laurence fishburn goes out onto the common and cries out "WAKE UP!!" wake up. wake up. ok- yes--wake up, but go somewhere with your plot!! the story ends there. i felt that spike lee copped out on his story which was rich and fertile --in order to put across his "message" that he didn't trust the audience to get. tell your story --illustrate your point -- don't preach. it just made me mad and i felt cheated. spike lee did something similar at the end of MALCOLM X (people standing up and saying "I'M MALCOLM X!" just like SPARTACUS) but he had already told the story and was embellishing for our benefit in case we didn't get it.

Mind is Mantra.
